Nickey Alexander
Nickey Alexander (a.k.a. Nickey Beat) is an American drummer. Biography Born Jeffrey Ivisovich, Nickey Beat lived in San Pedro, Los Angeles before moving to Hollywood to focus on music. There in 1977, alongside Cliff Roman and brothers, John and Dix Denney, he founded The Weirdos. He left the band by 1980, and rejoined in 1988 through 1991. In 1978 he briefly joined The Germs, appearing on the ''Lexicon Devil'' EP. In 1983, he joined The Dickies but left a year later. In 1984 he was involved with The Mau-Mau's, replacing future L.A. Guns vocalist Paul Black on drums. In 1985, Alexander himself joined L.A. Guns. He played drums on the band's debut album, ''L.A. Guns'' in 1987, before leaving the band prior to the album's 1988 release. He later guested on 1994’s ''Vicious Circle''. Nickey Browning
Nickey Reed Browning (born July 19, 1951) is a former Republican member of the Mississippi Senate, having represented the 3rd District in northeastern Mississippi from 1996 to 2020. Early life and education Browning was born on July 19, 1951, in Ponotoc, Mississippi. He attended Northeast Mississippi Community College and graduated from Mississippi State University. Political career On March 27, 2013, Browning switched from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party. He did not file for re-election in 2020. Personal life Browning is a member of the Lions Club. Nickey Iyambo
Nickey Iyambo (20 May 1936 – 19 May 2019) was a Namibian politician and physician who served as the first Vice President of Namibia. A member of SWAPO, Iyambo was a member of the Cabinet of Namibia since independence in March 1990. He was the Minister of Health and Social Services from 1990 to 1996, Minister of Regional and Local Government and Housing from 1996 to 2002, Minister of Mines and Energy from 2002 to 2005, Minister of Agriculture, Water and Forestry from 2005 to 2008, Minister of Safety and Security from 2008 to 2010, and Minister of Veteran Affairs since 2010. He assumed the newly created vice president position in 2015 and served until 2018, when he retired due to poor health. He continued to head the Ministry of Veterans' Affairs until his death. Nickey Barclay
Nicole Barclay (born 1951) is an American singer, songwriter and musician. She was a member of the all-female rock group Fanny and has collaborated with Joe Cocker, Barbra Streisand and Keith Moon. Career In the late 1960s, Barclay joined the collective of session musicians known as the Musicians Contact Service in Los Angeles. In January 1970, she was asked to join the all-female rock group Fanny as a singer and keyboardist. She was one of the main songwriters and lead singers in the group, and appeared on all their albums, adding soul, blues and funk influences to the group's overall sound. After joining Joe Cocker for a few months on his March 1970 US tour as a backing vocalist, during which she was recorded for the live album '' Mad Dogs and Englishmen'', Barclay returned to Fanny. Nickey Brennan
Nicholas "Nickey" Brennan (born 3 December 1953) is an Irish former hurler, manager and Gaelic games administrator. He played as a right wing-back at senior level for the Kilkenny county team. More recently, he served as the 35th president of the Gaelic Athletic Association. Brennan joined the team during the 1974 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 1985 championship. During that time he won two All-Ireland medals, three Leinster medals and two National Hurling League medals. At club level Brennan had a lengthy career with Conahy Shamrocks. In retirement from playing Brennan became involved in team management and coaching. He was manager of the Kilkenny senior team, having served as a selector for the previous four years. Donnie Nickey
Donnie Orvin Nickey (born April 25, 1980) is a former American football safety. He played college football at Ohio State and was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the fifth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. Early years Nickey attended Jonathan Alder High School in Plain City, Ohio, wore number 2, and was an All-Ohio running back. He also played free safety in football. In addition to his football talent, he was selected as an All-State center fielder as part of the 1998 OHSAA State Championship baseball team. College career Nickey was a co-captain with Mike Doss on the 2002 NCAA National Championship team.
