This is a list of toys created by the popular children's television network Nickelodeon. Compounds A number of molding substances for children's play were created and sold by the American children's television channel Nickelodeon, through toy company partners in the 1990s. Like most molding compounds, they could be kept in their container to retain plasticity, or molded and allowed to harden overnight. Nickelodeon
Nickelodeon (often shortened to Nick) is an American pay television television channel, channel which launched on April 1, 1979, as the first cable channel for children. It is run by Paramount Global through its List of assets owned by Paramount Global#Kids & Family Entertainment, networks division's Kids and Family Group. Its programming is primarily aimed at children aged 2–17, along with a broader family audience through its block programming, program blocks. The channel began life as a test broadcast on December 1, 1977 as part of QUBE, an early cable television system broadcast locally in Columbus, Ohio. The channel, now named Nickelodeon, launched to a new countrywide audience on April 1, 1979, with ''Pinwheel'' as its inaugural program. Silly Putty
Silly Putty is a toy based on silicone polymers that have unusual physical properties. It bounces, but it breaks when given a sharp blow, and it can also flow like a liquid. It contains a viscoelastic liquid silicone, a type of non-Newtonian fluid, which makes it act as a viscous liquid over a long time period but as an elastic solid over a short time period. ''Nickelodeon Splat!'' was a television block consisting of game show interstitials on Nickelodeon. It aired live from March 7, 2004 to August 17, 2004. A webpage created for the game allowed viewers to interact with the program while it was airing. It was the last show taped at Nickelodeon Studios at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando, Florida alongside another Nickelodeon show, ''Gamefarm'', prior to its closure on April 30, 2005. Gameplay The game-based interstitials follow teams divided into three colors (green, yellow and red).
