Nick Sanza
Nick Sanza (born February 6, 1955) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey goaltender. Playing career Sanza played major junior in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) for three seasons with the Montreal Red White and Blue and Sherbrooke Beavers. He set a league record for most shutouts in a single season with seven in 1974–75 (later tied by Roberto Luongo and Adam Russo). He joined the North American Hockey League in 1975–76 and played with the Erie Blades and Beauce Jaros. Sanza turned pro in 1975–76 with the Tucson Mavericks of the Central Hockey League (CHL). Having been drafted 64th overall by the Denver Spurs in the 1975 WHA Amateur Draft, he joined the club in 1975-76. He had also been drafted 150th overall in the 1975 NHL Entry Draft by the Atlanta Flames, but he never played a game in the NHL. LaSalle, Quebec
LaSalle () is the most southerly borough (''arrondissement'') of the city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is located in the south-west portion of the Island of Montreal, along the Saint Lawrence River. Prior to 2002, it was a separate municipality that had been incorporated in 1912. Erie Blades
The Erie Blades name was used by two professional ice hockey teams in Erie, Pennsylvania. Both teams played their home games in the Erie County Field House. After the second Blades team folded, the void was filled by the Erie Golden Blades, a team in the Atlantic Coast Hockey League from 1982 to 1987. Italian Hockey League - Serie A, formerly known as Serie A, is the top tier of professional ice hockey in Italy, which first began play in 1925. Greensboro Generals (1959–1977)
The Greensboro Generals were a minor league ice hockey team based in Greensboro, North Carolina. Greensboro was part of the Eastern Hockey League from 1959 to 1973, and then played in the Southern Hockey League from 1973 to 1977. The team was founded when the Troy Bruins of the International Hockey League were relocated by owner Ken Wilson and admitted to the EHL, to play in the recently built Greensboro Coliseum. History The team was owned by a group of local investors led by Carson Bain, who brought in Roland McLenahan as the team's first coach. 1975 NHL Entry Draft
The 1975 NHL Amateur Draft was the 13th NHL Entry Draft. It was held at the NHL office in Montreal, Quebec. The two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Philadelphia Flyers made the most noise at the draft, trading Bill Clement, Don McLean, and the 18th overall pick to the Washington Capitals for the number one overall selection, which they used to select Mel Bridgman.
