Nick Ramirez
Nicholas Randolph Ramirez (born August 1, 1989) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the New York Yankees organization. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Detroit Tigers and San Diego Padres. Career Ramirez attended Katella High School in Anaheim, California. He played college baseball for the Cal State Fullerton Titans as a first baseman and pitcher. Milwaukee Brewers The Milwaukee Brewers selected Ramirez in the fourth round of the 2011 MLB draft as a first baseman. In 2017, the Brewers converted him into a full-time pitcher. In his first season as a pitcher he spent his time primarily with the Double-A Biloxi Shuckers, going 7–4 in 48 relief appearances with a 1.38 ERA and holding opponents to a .199 batting average. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. The 2011 Major League Baseball draft was held from June 6 through June 8, 2011, from Studio 42 of the MLB Network in Secaucus, New Jersey. The Pittsburgh Pirates selected Gerrit Cole out of the University of California, Los Angeles, with the first overall pick. Daniel Altavilla (born September 8, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball for the Seattle Mariners from 2016 through 2020, and the San Diego Padres from 2020 through 2021. Amateur career Altavilla attended Elizabeth Forward High School in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, and played college baseball at Mercyhurst University. Gregory Soto (born February 11, 1995) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball (MLB). Toledo Mud Hens
The Toledo Mud Hens are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. They are located in Toledo, Ohio, and play their home games at Fifth Third Field. A Mud Hens team has played in Toledo for most seasons since 1896, including a 50-year history as a member of the now defunct American Association. The current franchise was established in 1965. They joined Triple-A East in 2021, but this was renamed the International League in 2022. The Erie SeaWolves are an United States, American professional baseball team based in Erie, Pennsylvania.
