Nick Noble (soccer)
Nicholas Noble (born September 1, 1984, in Charleston, West Virginia) is a retired American soccer player. Noble is currently an assistant coach for the West Virginia Mountaineers men's soccer team. Career College and amateur Noble grew up in Damascus, Maryland, played soccer and attended Georgetown Preparatory School from 1999 to 2003, played college soccer at West Virginia University from 2003 to 2006, where he was a four-year starter for the Mountaineers appearing in 80 matches. He was named Big East Conference Goalkeeper of the Year in 2006 under first-year head coach Marlon LeBlanc. During his college years he also played with both Bradenton Academics and West Virginia Chaos in the USL Premier Development League. Professional Noble was drafted in the first round, 7th overall, by the Chicago Fire in the 2007 MLS Supplemental Draft. USL League Two (USL2), formerly the Premier Development League (PDL), is a semi-professional developmental soccer league sponsored by United Soccer Leagues in the United States and Canada, forming part of the United States soccer league system. The league features 113 teams for 2022, split into sixteen regional divisions across four conferences. USL League Two is headquartered in Tampa, Florida. The ''Charleston Gazette-Mail'' is the only daily morning newspaper in Charleston, West Virginia. It is the product of a July 2015 merger between ''The Charleston Gazette'' and the ''Charleston Daily Mail''. The paper is one of nine owned by HD Media. Bill Becher
Bill Becher (born 15 February 1965) is a former American soccer player and head coach. Player Youth Born in West Virginia, Becher grew up in St. Louis. He began his collegiate career at Lewis and Clark Community College. He then transferred to Sangamon State University. In 1986, Becher was a Third Team NAIA All American. In 1987, he scored the winning goal as Sangamon won the NAIA national men's soccer championship and Becher was named the tournament MVP. Professional In 1987, Becher turned professional with the Fort Wayne Flames of the American Indoor Soccer Association. He played two season with the Flames. When the Flames folded in 1989, Becher moved to the newly created Indiana Kick. In 1990, the Kick moved to New York to become the New York Kick. Becher began the 1990-1991 AISA season with the Kick, but left the team in January 1991 after the team cut salaries. The USL Championship (USLC) is a professional men's soccer league in the United States that began its inaugural season in 2011. The USL is sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation (U.S. Soccer) as a Division II league since 2017, placing it under Major League Soccer (Division I) in the hierarchy. William Gaudette (born September 14, 1981 in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania) is a retired American-born Puerto Rican footballer who played for several MLS teams and the Puerto Rican national team. Gaudette commenced his soccer career at Lower Dauphin High School, period in which he had the opportunity to train with a talented Brazilian host brother before matriculating onto St. John's University at the college level and becoming an All-American. Also suiting up for the Brooklyn Knights of the USL Premier Development League during the collegiate off-season. After an exceptional career at St. John's, the Columbus Crew selected him 9th overall in the 2005 MLS Draft. His tenure with the Crew saw him serve primarily as backup to Jon Busch due to injury. LA Galaxy, also known as the Los Angeles Galaxy, are an American professional soccer club based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Superettan (; meaning the super first (division)) is an association football league and the second highest league in the league system of Swedish men's football. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Allsvenskan and Division 1. Seasons run from April to October, with teams playing 30 matches each, totalling 240 matches in the season. The league was created in 2000. Cleveland City Stars
The Cleveland City Stars were an American professional soccer team based in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. Founded in 2006, the team played in the USL First Division (USL-1), the second tier of the American Soccer Pyramid in 2009. The club folded soon after the 2009 season. The team played its home games at Bearcat Stadium (renamed Middlefield Cheese Stadium for sponsorship purposes) on the campus of Bedford High School in nearby Bedford, Ohio, where they played in 2009.
