Nick Morris (speedway Rider)
Nicholas Craig Morris (born 7 June 1994) is an Australian speedway rider. Career Born in Canberra, Morris was successful as a youngster in youth racing in Australia before making the move into British racing in 2010 with Buxton Hitmen in the National League, the team going on to be crowned champions. It was the only season that Morris would race in the National League, making the step up to the Premier League and the Elite League in 2011. He won titles with Glasgow Tigers and Scunthorpe Scorpions in the Premier League, and with the Swindon Robins in the Elite League. Grindsted Speedway Klub
Grindsted Speedway Klub is a speedway club, based at the Billund Municipality Stadium, north of Grindsted in Denmark, who compete in the Danish Speedway League. The team have never won the Danish Speedway League but have spent numerous seasons in the highest league tier. Venue The club's track known as the Billund Municipality Stadium is located about 6 kilometres in a north east direction from the centre of Grindsted, on Blåbjergvej 1. History 1985 to 1993 The club was founded in 1985 but initially operated grasstrack speedway only. The following year the professional Danish Speedway League or Superliga was created but Grindsted did not build a full size speedway track until 1990. SGB Premiership 2018
The SGB Premiership 2018 was the 84th season of the top division of Great British Speedway in 2018. The season ran between March and October 2018 and had eight teams participating. The line-up of teams remained the same as in 2017. The Swindon Robins were the defending champions after winning the title in 2017. BT Sport continued its TV coverage of the SGB Premiership in 2018. Poole Pirates defeated King's Lynn Stars in the Play off final. The East of England Showground is a large showground area (667,731sqm) located on East of England Way in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England. The Showground is owned by Bellway as of around 2019 and the site currently includes the East of England Arena and Events Centre and a motorcycle speedway stadium. Motorcycle Speedway
Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock (mostly used in Australia and New Zealand). Premier League Four-Team Championship
The Premier League Four-Team Championship was a contest between teams competing in the Premier League in the United Kingdom. Eight teams are grouped into fours, with one rider from each team in each race. The winners and second place of each group competed for the Championship in the final. History The competition replaced the National League Four-Team Championship (held from 1976 until 1994). It was first staged in 1995 when the Premier League was the highest tier of British speedway because the top two divisions had merged. The Elite League was the top division of speedway league competition in the United Kingdom, governed by the Speedway Control Bureau (SCB), in conjunction with the British Speedway Promoters' Association (BSPA). It was sponsored by Sky Sports until the end of the 2013 season. In 2016, the Elite League featured 8 teams, unlike 10 in 2014, during a season which ran between March and October. The current National Development League formerly the National League was formed in 2009 as the third division of speedway in the United Kingdom, replacing the Conference League. It follows the same rules and regulations as the SGB Premiership and SGB Championship, including the use of rider averages.
