Nick Jr. (Germany)
Nick Jr. is a German TV television channel broadcasting to children in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The current version of channel was launched on September 12, 2005 as a programming block on the relaunched version of Nickelodeon between 6am and 10am and 4:30am to 9:45am on Nick Premium. The channel now broadcasts 24/7 from March 31, 2009. Before the channel launched, some programs were broadcast on Super RTL and Disney Channel. On 1 April 2020, Nick Jr. and Nicktoons were added to Sky Deutschland, replacing Disney Junior. The channel also had a block on the original version of Nickelodeon Germany which lasted until 29 May 1998 between 9:30am and 11:30am, the German-input block was presented by Face (known in German as Gesicht), although the block was initially titled Nickelodeon Circus. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. Because of its close association with the legacy color encoding systems, it is often referred to as PAL, PAL/SECAM or SECAM when compared to its 60 Hz (typically, see PAL-M) NTSC-colour-encoded counterpart, 480i. The ''576'' identifies a vertical resolution of 576 lines, and the ''i'' identifies it as an Interlaced video, interlaced resolution. Nickelodeon (Swiss TV Channel)
Nickelodeon Schweiz (branded as Nick Schweiz since 28 June 2017) is a Swiss German-language pay television channel centred towards children. It was launched on 1 April 2009 timesharing with VIVA Switzerland, replacing the German feed that was available in Switzerland. The programming schedule is the same as Nickelodeon Germany feed, with commercial breaks from the country being replaced by local ads. In March 2010, Nick was rebranded. From 1 January 2011 until 30 September 2014, Nickelodeon Switzerland timeshared with Comedy Central. Before Nickelodeon Switzerland was launched as a TV channel it was a 7-hour programming block on the Swiss channel SF2 which used to broadcast from 28 September 1998 -16 September 2003 but was replaced by another programming block called Junior. ''Peppa Pig'' is a British preschool animated television series by Astley Baker Davies. The show follows Peppa, an anthropomorphic female piglet, and her family, as well as her peers portrayed as other animals. The show first aired on 31 May 2004. ''Hey Duggee'' is a British animated educational preschool television series aimed at two to five year olds. Created by Grant Orchard, it is produced by Studio AKA, in association with BBC Studios (formerly BBC Worldwide). The show is narrated by Alexander Armstrong. The programme's characters are talking anthropomorphic animals, with Duggee communicating in woofs. The episodes are based around The Squirrel Club, an activity club for children that Duggee leads. The childrenthe club's Squirrelstake part in all kinds of activities, have adventures and earn badges for their accomplishments.
