Nick James (American Football)
Nicholas J. James (born July 24, 1993) is a former American football defensive tackle. He previously played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL), the Birmingham Iron of the Alliance of American Football (AAF), and the Houston Roughnecks of the XFL. College career James played college football for Mississippi State on the defensive line. He played sparingly in 2012 and redshirted the 2013 season, before playing again in 2014, where he helped lead the Bulldogs to a #1 ranking and a bid to the Orange Bowl. James started 15 games over his final two seasons (2015 and 2016). He had five tackles in a win over Troy in 2015, and registered a sack against South Carolina and Miami (Ohio) in 2016. Mississippi State Bulldogs Football
The Mississippi State Bulldogs football program represents Mississippi State University in the sport of American football. 2014 Mississippi State Bulldogs Football Team
The 2014 Mississippi State Bulldogs football team represented Mississippi State University in the 2014 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was coached by Dan Mullen, who was in his sixth season with Mississippi State. The Bulldogs played their home games at the newly expanded and renovated Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, Mississippi and competed in the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The 2014 season was one of the most successful seasons in Mississippi State's 110-year football history. In mid-October, they shot to #1 in the polls for the first time in school history, and the highest that any FBS team in Mississippi had been ranked at that late date in the season in half a century. Julian Allen (American Football)
Julian Allen (1942–1998) was a British-American illustrator. He covered various "secret history" stories, including the Watergate scandal and the Yom Kippur War. His illustrations appeared in numerous publications, including ''Queen'', NOVA, ''Esquire'', ''The Observer'', ''Sports Illustrated'', ''The New Yorker'', ''Time'', and ''The New York Times''. Biography Born in Cambridge, England in 1942, Allen studied at the Central School of Art and Design in London. In 1973, Allen moved to the United States on the invitations of Clay Felker and Milton Glaser. Glaser later said that they had found Allen while trying to "find an illustrator whose journalistic interest and talent would permit us to do unusual visual reportage". 2020 XFL Draft
The 2020 XFL Draft was the inaugural player selection process to fill the rosters of the eight teams of the 2020 reboot of the XFL. The draft was held on October 15–16, 2019, via conference call, with results released through the XFL's social media channels. Structure The XFL player allocation process was held in multiple phases, separated by position groups. The league used a "snake" format in each phase, in which the draft order reversed with each round. The draft order was shuffled for each phase as predetermined through lotteries. A draft pool of 1,000 eligible players was announced in 200-player installments the week before the draft. BC Lions
The BC Lions are a professional Canadian football team based in Vancouver, British Columbia. It was held in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art on April 27–29, returning to Philadelphia for the first time since 1961.
