Nick Hardy
Nick Hardy (born January 26, 1996) is an American professional golfer from Northbrook, Illinois. Hardy played college golf for the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign men's golf team He has also played at the professional level in the U.S. Open and in the John Deere Classic. In addition, Hardy has won a number of junior championship events both in the state of Illinois and nationally. High school and junior amateur career During his high school years, Hardy had a number of noteworthy performances. When he wasn't competing and or playing for his high school, he most frequently competed in the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) and their tournaments. In 2012, Hardy had a number of good showings in multiple events. In the Stonehenge Junior Open, which is an event on the AJGA circuit, Hardy tied for 9th place and in the same year, tied for 4th position in the Exide Technologies Junior Open. Northbrook, Illinois
Northbrook is a suburb of Chicago, located at the northern edge of Cook County, Illinois, United States, on the border of Lake County, Illinois, Lake County. Per the 2020 United States Census, 2020 census, the population was 35,222. When incorporated in 1901, the village was known as Shermerville in honor of Frederick Schermer, who donated the land for its first Northbrook station, train station. The village changed its name to Northbrook in 1923 as an effort to improve its public image. Arnold Palmer Cup
The Arnold Palmer Cup is an annual team golf competition for college/university golfers. From 2018 it has been contested between a United States team and an International team representing the rest of the world. The teams consist of 12 men and 12 women. The teams are selected on the basis of nationality, not according to the location of the players' universities. The 2023 event will be held from June 10 to 12 at Laurel Valley Golf Club, near Ligonier, Pennsylvania. History From its foundation in 1997 until 2017 the event was only contested by men. The Players Championship (commonly known as simply The Players, stylized by the PGA Tour as The PLAYERS Championship) is an annual golf tournament on the PGA Tour. Originally known as the Tournament Players Championship, it began in 1974. The Players Championship at one point offered the highest purse of any tournament in golf ($20 million).
