Nick Gould
Nick Gould (born 9 July 1972) is a former British tennis player. Career Gould twice competed in the main draw at the Wimbledon Championships, in 1994 and 1996. Although he was unable to progress past the first round in either, he did manage to take world number 26 Jaime Yzaga to five sets in the 1994 Wimbledon Championships. He earned a call up to the British squad in the 1996 Davis Cup competition, for a tie against Slovenia in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. With the side weakened by the withdrawal of Tim Henman due to illness, Gould got an opportunity in the fifth match, which was a dead rubber. He defeated his opponent Borut Urh in three sets. Avon (county)
Avon () was a non-metropolitan and ceremonial county in the west of England that existed between 1974 and 1996. The county was named after the River Avon, which flows through the area. It was formed from the county boroughs of Bristol and Bath, together with parts of the administrative counties of Gloucestershire and Somerset. In 1996, the county was abolished and the area split between four new unitary authorities: Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. The Avon name is still used for some purposes. The area had a population of approximately 1.08 million people in 2009. Tim Henman
Timothy Henry Henman (born 6 September 1974) is a British former professional tennis player. Henman played a serve-and-volley style of tennis. He was the first British man to reach the singles semifinals of Wimbledon since Roger Taylor in the 1970s. Henman reached six major semifinals and won 15 career ATP Tour titles (eleven in singles and four in doubles), including the 2003 Paris Masters. He also earned a 40–14 win-loss record with the Great Britain Davis Cup team. Henman was the British No. 1 player in 1996 and again from 1999 to 2005, at which point he was overtaken by Andy Murray. The Great Britain Davis Cup team has represented the United Kingdom internationally since 1900 in the Davis Cup. Organised by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), it is one of the 50 members of International Tennis Federation's European association (Tennis Europe).
