Nick Catania
Nicholas Mark Catania (born 18 December 1945) is a former Australian politician. Catania served as Mayor of the City of Vincent in inner-city Perth, Western Australia, between 2001 and 2011. He was a member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly for the Electoral district of Balcatta between 1989 and 1996. Vincent Alexander Catania (born 23 February 1977) is an Australian former politician who was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia from 2008 to 2022. He was previously a member of the Legislative Council from 2005 to 2008. Catania represented the Labor Party until July 2009, when he switched to the National Party. Early life Catania was born in Perth to Rita (née Tonus) and Nicholas Mark Catania. His Italian-born father was also a state member of parliament, representing the Labor Party. Balcatta is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Western Australia. The district is based in Perth's northern suburbs.
