Nick Blackwell
Nick Blackwell (born 27 October 1990) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2009 to 2016. He won the English middleweight title in 2010, at the age of twenty, becoming the youngest boxer to do so. In 2011 and 2012 he challenged for the Commonwealth middleweight title, and won the British middleweight title in 2015. Blackwell's career was cut short in 2016 after he was forced to retire due to a serious head injury sustained in the ring. Referee Technical Decision
A corner retirement or corner stoppage – abbreviated "RTD (Retired)" by BoxRec – are terms used in boxing to describe a fight that ends when, during any rest period between rounds, a boxer refuses to continue or their corner pulls them out, thereby forcing the referee to call an end to the fight. In contrast, a technical knockout (TKO) may only be declared by the referee or ringside doctor, at any stage of the fight including rest periods. In either case, an RTD still counts as a type of knockout, and is displayed as a stoppage result on a boxer's win/loss record. Damon Jones (born 17 March 1993) is a British professional boxer who has challenged once for the British middleweight title. John Ryder (boxer)
John Ryder (born 19 July 1988) is a British professional boxer. He has held the WBO interim super-middleweight title since 2022, having previously held the WBA interim super-middleweight title in 2019. Gary Lockett (born 25 November 1976) is a Welsh former professional boxer and middleweight world title challenger. He currently works as a boxing trainer. Professional career In his first professional fight in September 1996, Lockett defeated Ernie Loveridge by KO in the first round on a card that included Eamonn Magee, Andrew Murray, Jim Rock and Neil Sinclair. February 2002 saw Lockett fight WBA No. 4 ranked Kevin Kelley for the WBO Intercontinental title. Maksym Bursak (born 3 July 1984) is a Ukrainian professional boxer. He held the European middleweight title in 2013, and has challenged once for the WBO super-middleweight title in 2017.
