Nick Aliotti
Nick Aliotti (born May 29, 1954) is an American football coach. He was recently the defensive coordinator of the Arizona Hotshots of the Alliance of American Football. Early life and playing career The eldest of five children, Aliotti grew up northeast of San Francisco in Pittsburg, California, where his father Joe worked for from Pittsburg High School in 1972 and enrolled at where he earned three letters as running back, and was named MVP of the freshman team. Coaching career After graduation from Davis, Aliotti spent two years as a graduate assistant football coach on Rich Brooks' staff at Oregon, and in 1980, was hired as the running backs coach by new Oregon State coach Joe Avezzano. After four years with the Beavers, Aliotti was hired as offensive coordinator at Chico State. In 1988, he returned to Oregon as linebackers coach, later becoming defensive coordinator. 1995 Rose Bowl
The 1995 Rose Bowl was a college football bowl game played on Monday January 2, 1995, because New Year's Day was on a Sunday. It was the 81st Rose Bowl Game. The Penn State Nittany Lions defeated the Oregon Ducks 38–20. Ki-Jana Carter of Penn State and Danny O'Neil of Oregon both were named the Rose Bowl Players of the Game. Offensive Coordinator
An offensive coordinator is a member of the coaching staff of an American football or Canadian football team who is in charge of the team's offense. Generally, along with the defensive coordinator and the special teams coordinator, this coach represents the second level of coaching structure after the head coach. The offensive coordinator is in charge of the team's offensive game plan, and typically calls offensive plays during the game, although some offensive-minded head coaches also handle play-calling. Several position coaches work under the offensive coordinator (position groupings can include quarterbacks, wide receivers, offensive line, running backs, and tight ends). Joe Avezzano
Joe Avezzano (November 17, 1943 – April 5, 2012) was an American football player and coach. He was the head football coach at Oregon State University from 1980 to 1984, compiling a record of 6–47–2. Avezzano was later an assistant coach with the Dallas Cowboys and Oakland Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He also was head coach of the Seamen Milano in the Italian Football League. Playing career Avezzano graduated from Jackson High School in Miami, in 1961. He played college football at Florida State University, where he was a center. He was drafted and played professionally in the American Football League for the Boston Patriots in 1966.
