Nichole Overall
Nichole Lorraine Overall is an Australian politician. She was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly at the 2022 Monaro state by-election. Overall studied communications at the University of Canberra before working as a journalist for the Tumut and Adelong Times. She later ran a business in Queanbeyan. Her husband, Tim Overall, was a long-serving councillor and mayor on Queanbeyan City Council. The New South Wales Legislative Assembly is the lower of the two houses of the Parliament of New South Wales, an Australian state. The upper house is the New South Wales Legislative Council. Both the Assembly and Council sit at Parliament House in the state capital, Sydney. The Assembly is presided over by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. The Assembly has 93 members, elected by single-member constituency, which are commonly known as seats. Voting is by the optional preferential system. Queanbeyan City was a local government area located in south eastern New South Wales, Australia. The former area is located adjacent to Canberra and the Australian Capital Territory, the Queanbeyan River, the Molonglo River, the Kings Highway and the Sydney-Canberra railway. On 12 May 2016 the Minister for Local Government announced dissolution of Queanbeyan City with immediate effect. Together with the Palerang Council the combined council areas were merged to establish the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council.
