Nicholas Pike (mathematician)
Nicholas Pike is an Emmy Award winning English film and television music composer. He was born in Water Orton, Warwickshire, England, and is known for featuring unique sounds and instrumentation. He started his music career at the age of 7 at the prestigious Canterbury Choir School and subsequently moved to Cape Town, South Africa at the age of 10 where he continued in music becoming Head Chorister at St George's Grammar School, Cathedral choir as well as playing the flute with the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra at the age of 15. He was also a member of the iconic rock band Hammak and toured the country with this and other bands. At age 17 he left to study flute and composition in Boston at the Berklee School of Music after which he moved to New York City, where he recorded and performed with his band FluteJuice featuring Bill Frisell, Billy Hart, Kenny Werner, Hank Roberts among many others. Water Orton
Water Orton is a village and civil parish in the North Warwickshire borough of Warwickshire in the West Midlands, England near the River Tame. It is located between Castle Bromwich and Coleshill, and borders the West Midlands metropolitan county boundary to the north, west and south. At the 2001 Census, the population was 3,573, falling to 3,444 at the 2011 Census. In the 2021 Census the population slightly rose to 3,487. Etymology Water Orton was first documented in an Assize Roll of 1262 as ''Overton'' which means farm by the bank or edge. This usage continued to be recorded through the 13th and 14th centuries, but the name ''Oreton'' is recorded in the Warwickshire Feet of Fines in 1431. Manuel Hector "Manny" Coto (born June 10, 1961) is an American writer, director and producer of films and television programs. Coto was the executive producer and showrunner of ''Star Trek: Enterprise'' in its final season, and executive producer of four seasons of '' 24''. He was an executive producer and writer for the fifth season of the Showtime TV series ''Dexter''. Career Coto graduated from the American Film Institute and has experience in the sci-fi and fantasy genres. In 1990, Brian Helgeland and Coto sold a script, ''The Ticking Man'', for $1 million, but the film was never made.
