Niagara Purple Eagles Men's Soccer
The Niagara Purple Eagles men's soccer team is the men's college soccer team that represent Niagara University ( Lewiston, New York, United States) and competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) of NCAA Division I. The Purple Eagles play their home games at Niagara Field on the campus of Niagara University. The team colors are purple PMS 268 and white. History The team played their first season in 1969, and joined the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) in 1989. In the 2012 season, the team won its first MAAC tournament title and the program's first NCAA play-in berth, losing against Michigan on the first round (1-3). Bill Boyle
Bill Boyle is an American head coach and a former soccer player. He holds a NSCAA's National Advanced License and USSF A Coaching License. He is the Niagara Purple Eagles men's soccer head coach since 2016. Coach Boyle kicked off his coaching career at his alma mater, Okemos High School, in 2001. He also coached the U-16 Real Colorado Foxes boy’s squad from 1999–2000, and served as the boys varsity head coach at Haslett High School in 2009. He served as head coach at Division III Olivet College for four seasons, from 2005–08, before joining the Michigan State Spartans men's soccer team as an assistant coach, working with the goalkeepers as well as directing the day-to-day operations of the team and scouting opponents in 2010. Paul James (soccer)
Paul John James (born November 11, 1963) is a retired professional soccer player who played as a midfielder. He was a one-time CONCACAF champion who represented Canada at both the Los Angeles 1984 Olympic Games and 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico. He later worked as a soccer analyst and soccer coach. He is an honoured member of the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame. In 1998, was granted his Canada Soccer Coaching "A" Licence. After working as a player-coach in the Canadian Soccer League, he later served as a coach with Canada's national youth teams from 1998 to 2001, including the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2001. Achilles '29 is a football club from Groesbeek, Netherlands, competing in the sixth-tier Eerste Klasse. The club is known for its successes in the Dutch domestic cup, having knocked FC Volendam, Heracles Almelo, RKC Waalwijk, Telstar and MVV Maastricht out of the KNVB Cup. Ottawa Fury Football Club was a Canadian professional soccer club based in Ottawa, Ontario. The club competed in the North American Soccer League and USL Championship and played its home games at TD Place Stadium. Carl Haworth
Carl Haworth (born July 9, 1989) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a forward and right-back for Atlético Ottawa. Club career Early career Haworth began playing soccer at the age of four with Barrie SC, where he would play all of his youth soccer. Haworth spent his entire collegiate career at Niagara University where he made a total of 73 appearances for the Purple Eagles and tallied 35 goals and 21 assists. SC Toronto was a Canadian soccer team, founded in 1994. The team was a member of the Canadian Soccer League, and played its final home games at Lamport Stadium in the city of Toronto, Ontario. Anthony Di Biase
Anthony Di Biase (born April 26, 1988) is a Canadian soccer player. He played the majority of his career in North America in the USL Second Division, USL Premier Development League, and the Canadian Soccer League. Career College and Amateur Di Biase played college soccer at Virginia Intermont College, playing 20 games in his freshman season, before transferring to Niagara University as a sophomore.
