The Niagara Catholic District School Board (Niagara Catholic or NCDSB, previously known as English-language Separate District School Board No. 50 prior to 1999) is the publicly funded Catholic school board in the Regional Municipality of Niagara which is located in Ontario Canada supporting the municipalities of Fort Erie, Grimsby, Lincoln & West Lincoln, Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Pelham, Port Colborne, St. Catharines, Thorold, Wainfleet and Welland. Its head office, the Catholic Education Centre, is located in Welland, Ontario, Canada. The board consists of 49 elementary schools, 8 secondary schools, and a number of other education & administrative centres in the 12 aforementioned area municipalities that make up the Niagara Region. The District School Board of Niagara (DSBN, known as English-language Public District School Board No. 22 prior to 1999) is a school board in the public school system of Ontario, Canada, in the Regional Municipality of Niagara. Its head office is in St. Catharines. The DSBN operates schools in each of the twelve municipalities in the region. It employs close to 2,500 instructional staff to teach over 43,000 students in 97 elementary schools and 18 secondary schools. As of 2018, it was considered the top employer by number of employees in the Niagara Region. DSBN offers high school level courses online through Desire2Learn (D2L). Saint Michael Catholic High School is a Catholic high school in Niagara Falls, Ontario. It serves 940 pupils in grades 912 and is governed by the Niagara Catholic District School Board. Saint Michael opened in 1989 and moved to its current building in 2004. The school was named after Saint Michael the Archangel. Notre Dame College School
Notre Dame College School is a Catholic high school in Welland, Ontario, Canada with classes ranging from Grade 9 to Grade 12. The school was founded by the Holy Cross Fathers, a group of Roman Catholic priests who also founded the University of Notre Dame. In the early years of the establishment, tuition was levied to students attending the school; however, the institution is now completely publicly funded. Notre Dame is currently the largest secondary school in the Niagara Region, with 1243 students.
