Early history The company was founded in 1955 as a commercial successor of the ''Stichting voor de Ontwikkeling en Bouw van een Experimenteel Hefschroefvliegtuig'' (SOBEH - the Foundation for Development and Manufacturing of an Experimental Helicopter).
