Ngatokotoru Arakua
Ngatokotoru Arakua (born 13 May 1997) is a New Zealand rugby league footballer. She previously played for the Brisbane Broncos, St. George Illawarra Dragons and Newcastle Knights in the NRL Women's Premiership. Primarily a , she won a premiership with the Broncos in 2018 and is a New Zealand representative. Playing career A Manurewa Marlins junior, Arakua played for the Papakura Sisters in 2017 and was selected in the New Zealand squad for the 2017 Women's Rugby League World Cup. On 2 December 2017, she came off the bench in New Zealand's 16–23 final loss to Australia. In 2018, she joined the Brisbane Broncos NRL Women's Premiership team. On 30 September 2018, she came off the bench and scored a try in the Broncos' 34–12 Grand Final win over the Sydney Roosters. Mauke
Mauke (Ma'uke also Akatokamanava) is an island of the Cook Islands archipelago, lying in the central-southern Pacific Ocean. Part of the Nga-pu-Toru, it is northeast of Rarotonga. Geography Mauke is a raised coral atoll, with a central volcanic plateau surrounded by a jagged fossilised coral ''makatea'' which extends up to one mile inland. A narrow layer of swamps lies between the ''makatea'' and the plateau. The entire island is surrounded by a fringing reef, pierced by six passages, and sits atop an extinct volcano rising from the ocean floor. The volcanic soil in the island's center is relatively fertile, so it is called "The Garden of the Islands". The ''makatea'' is honeycombed with caves, including the Vaitango Cave, Moti Cave and Motuanga Cave. The Sydney Roosters are an Australian professional Rugby league, Rugby League Football Club based in the Eastern Suburbs (Sydney) and parts of inner Sydney. 2018 NRL Women's Season
The 2018 NRL Women's Premiership (NRLW) was the first season of professional women's rugby league in Australia. Teams Pre-season Only two of the four sides, the Brisbane Broncos and New Zealand Warriors, took part in pre-season trial games. The Warriors played two fixtures against a combined Auckland side, while the Broncos played the Papua New Guinea Orchids as a curtain-raiser to the Brisbane Broncos-Manly Sea Eagles NRL fixture. The Sydney Roosters were due to play the North Sydney Bears but the game was cancelled due to player availability. They instead underwent an opposed session with the Roosters' under-20 Jersey Flegg Cup side. 2021 NRL Women's Season
The 2021 NRLW premiership was the fourth professional season of Women's rugby league in Australia. The season was planned to start in August 2021, postponed to October 2021 and further postponed to 2022 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The competition was held from February to April 2022, with the 2022 NRL Women's season later commencing in August 2022. Teams For the first time there will be three new teams in the competition: the Parramatta Eels, Gold Coast Titans and Newcastle Knights will all join the competition, while the New Zealand Warriors will be in recess for this season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
