Zug Izland
Zug Izland is an American hard rock band from Detroit, Michigan, United States. The group sometimes refers to its fans as " zuggalos". Background Zug Izland formed in 2001, named after an industrial site near Detroit. The band was formed by Insane Clown Posse member Violent J (Joseph Bruce) and Mike Puwal, out of Bruce's love of rock music. Bruce wanted to know what a "Juggalo Rock" band would sound like. Zug Izland's songs were written and developed during the recording of Insane Clown Posse's album '' The Wraith: Shangri-La''. Bruce and Puwal completed the basic tracks for two songs, but still required a lead singer. Bruce wanted a singer similar to Kurt Cobain, Eddie Vedder, Jim Morrison or Axl Rose. Although Syn was sought by three other bands at the time, he joined Zug Izland as their official singer. The band broke onto the national competitive music scene in 2003 with their debut album, '' Cracked Tiles'', which was followed by tours with King's X and Dope. The album p ...

Death Or Glory? (album)
''Death or Glory?'' is the 17th studio album by Roy Harper and was released in 1992 following the end of his nine-year relationship. History Harper's second marriage ended in 1992. A number of songs and spoken word tracks on ''Death or Glory?'' reflected Harper's emotional state at the time (though some were omitted from following re-releases). "She ran off with someone else," said Harper, "a violin player (Nigel Kennedy) I’d been working on an adaptation of Brahms Violin Concerto with. I was really traumatised by that. Anybody who’s been suddenly left like that will know it’s very, very traumatic. I managed to come out of it, but it took about five years. It was like a death, a loss, like being told your child’s been killed in a war. There’s no other way to describe it. When you go through that, it changes your life forever, there’s no point in not admitting it. I withdrew, retreated, became an exile". The overseas release of the original album contained a person ...

Truthfully Speaking
''Truthfully Speaking'' is the debut studio album by American singer Truth Hurts. It was released on June 25, 2002, through Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records. Dr. Dre served as the album's executive producer. Critical reception ''Truthfully Speaking'' earned generally mixed reviews from music critics. BBC Music critic Emmy Perry called the album a "quality debut performance with solid production and Truth's considerable talents as a songwriter making up for the fact that few tracks match up to the originality of the first single. There is however no questioning the calibre and tone of her operatic voice, which appears to convey the harsh sound of the streets whilst keeping the church firmly in mind." Sal Cinquemani, writing for Slant Magazine, called ''Truthfully Speaking'' a "slow burner that draws on more traditional hip-hop and R&B sound structures and displays Truth’s versatile, often coquettish, vocal (think a less socially-conscious Jill Scott)." ''PopMatt ...
