Nexstar Broadcasting Group Stations
The following is a list of stations owned or operated by Nexstar Media Group. Nexstar owns 197 television stations in markets as large as New York City and as small as San Angelo, Texas, and operates stations owned by Mission Broadcasting, Vaughan Media and White Knight Broadcasting under varied local marketing agreements to satisfy existing regulations set in place by the Federal Communications Commission. In addition, the company owns one radio station, WGN in Chicago. With Nexstar's majority control purchase of The CW in 2022, all CW affiliates directly owned by Nexstar are thus owned-and-operated stations (O&O). The American Broadcasting Company (ABC) is an American commercial broadcast television network. It is the flagship property of the ABC Entertainment Group division of The Walt Disney Company. Ozark is a city in and the county seat of Dale County, Alabama. As of the 2010 census, the population of the city was 14,907. Anniston, Alabama
Anniston is the county seat of Calhoun County in Alabama and is one of two urban centers/principal cities of and included in the Anniston-Oxford Metropolitan Statistical Area. Digital terrestrial television (DTTV or DTT, or DTTB with "broadcasting") is a technology for terrestrial television in which land-based (terrestrial) television stations broadcast television content by radio waves to televisions in consumers' residences in a digital format. In most telecommunications organizations, a virtual channel is a method of remapping the ''program number'' as used in H.222 Program Association Tables and Program Mapping Tables to a channel number that can be entered via digits on a receiver's remote control. Often, "virtual channels" are implemented in digital television, helping users to find a desired channel easily, or easing the transition from analogue to digital broadcasting in general. The practice of assigning virtual channels is most common in those parts of the world where TV stations were colloquially named after the RF channel they were transmitting on ("Channel 6 Springfield"), as it was common in North America during the analogue TV era.
