''News.PH Kasama si Pia Hontiveros'' (or simply as News.PH) is the flagship national network Filipino-language newscast program of CNN Philippines (which is now RPTV), anchored by its Chief Correspondent Pia Hontiveros. The half-hour newscast airs at 7:00 PM on weekdays. Initially launched as a public affairs program in 2012, it returned as a primetime Filipino language newscast in 2020, making it the first-ever Filipino-language primetime newscast of the network. The 7pm timeslot of the program was formerly occupied by 7pm edition of CNN Philippines News Night (which is anchored also by Hontiveros and it became the companion newscast of News.PH) every Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, as well as weekly current affairs programs Politics as Usual on Tuesdays and On The Record on Thursdays. Pia Hontiveros
Ana Patricia Hontiveros-Pagkalinawan (born Ana Patricia Navarro Hontiveros; March 10, 1967), better known as Pia Hontiveros, is a Filipina broadcast journalist. She is the sister of Ginggay and Risa Hontiveros. She is also the cousin of the 80's pop singer, Leah Navarro and 2000's singer Barbie Almalbis. Career Hontiveros is the Chief Correspondent for CNN Philippines, the anchor of the network's flagship newscast News Night, and the host of weekly political talk show Politics As Usual. She was the host of the political talk show News.PH from 2012–2017, and anchor of the global newscast Global Newsroom from 2016–2017. She was a correspondent for the ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) from 1996 to 2011 and as a reporter from 1989 to 1996. ''CNN Philippines News Night'' (alternately titled as ''News Night kasama si Pia Hontiveros'' or simply ''News Night'') is the flagship national network news program of CNN Philippines and ALLTV, anchored by its Chief Correspondent Pia Hontiveros. The hour-long newscast, which broadcasts in the Filipino vernacular, airs at 6:00 PM on weekdays. The show is streaming online on Facebook. History and development ''News Night'' was first unveiled at an intimate network meeting on March 7, 2017, as a replacement for CNN Philippines Network News and as a part of CNN PH President Armie Jarin-Bennett's continuing program restructuring. AlDub is a Philippine supercouple which first appeared in the Kalyeserye portion of the "Juan for All, All for Juan" segment of the variety show ''Eat Bulaga!'' They were also called as the "phenomenal love team" due to their rise in popularity after they were accidentally paired on the July 16, 2015 episode of the Problem Solving portion of "Juan for All, All for Juan" which later became the first episode of Kalyeserye.
