History The suburb of Newport was gazetted as the Place Name Decision Notice (No 21) 2008 in the ''Queensland Government Gazette – Natural Resources and Water'' on , after a submission by the then Redcliffe City Council to the Queensland Government Department of Natural Resources and Water in October 2006. An earlier, unsuccessful attempt by the council to create the suburb was made in the 1990s. The Redcliffe Peninsula is a peninsula located in the Moreton Bay Region LGA in the northeast of the Brisbane metropolitan area in Queensland, Australia. The area covers the suburbs of Clontarf, Kippa-Ring, Margate, Newport, Redcliffe, Rothwell, Scarborough and Woody Point. Redcliffe State High School
Redcliffe State High School is an independent co-educational public Secondary education, high school based in Redcliffe, Queensland, Redcliffe in Queensland, Australia. The school initially opened in 1958 on the eastern side of Oxley Avenue, with sporting facilities on the land adjacent. Redcliffe Peninsula Railway Line
The Redcliffe Peninsula line is a 12 km stretch of heavy gauge dual-track railway between Petrie and Kippa-Ring on the Redcliffe peninsula. The new line is part of Queensland Rail's City suburban network, branching from the North Coast line. It starts 200 metres north of Petrie railway station, extending from ( to north of Central railway station). The line has six stations: Kallangur, Murrumba Downs, Mango Hill, Mango Hill East (previously called Kinsellas Road), Rothwell and Kippa-Ring.
