Route 370, also known as the Buchans Highway, is a east-west highway in the central portion of Newfoundland in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Its eastern terminus is the intersection at the Trans-Canada Highway ( Route 1) in the Town of Badger, and the route ends at the Town of Buchans. The intersection at the Trans-Canada Highway is very unusual in nature, with a median at the access, and motorists would face a stop signs at the Trans-Canada Highway intersection soon after a stop sign upon returning from their journey on Route 370. Newfoundland And Labrador Route 480
Route 480, also known as Burgeo Highway or The Burgeo Road, is a north-south on southwestern Newfoundland in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It connects the town of Burgeo with the Trans-Canada Highway ( Route 1). The highway is a winding two-lane highway traveling through remote, hilly, and wooded terrain for its entire length. There are no other communities of any kind along the highway, with thes only other intersections being abandoned logging roads. Route 371, also known as Millertown Junction Road, is a north–south highway in central Newfoundland in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is an entirely unsigned, narrow, gravel road for its entire length, serving as the only access road to the community of Millertown Junction, connecting with Route 370 (Buchans Highway) at the other end. Exploits River
The Exploits River is a river in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It flows through the Exploits Valley in the central part of Newfoundland. Including the Lloyds River, which discharges in Beothuk Lake, the Exploits river has a length of 246 km, making it the longest river on the island draining an area of 1,100 km2 and is the second longest in the province after the Churchill River. The river drains Beothuk Lake at its source and discharges into the Bay of Exploits near the port town of Botwood. The Exploits River provides habitat for spawning Atlantic Salmon and other species of fish. The salmon population increased dramatically when fish ladders were installed, opening up sections of the river that had been previously inaccessible. Buchans Junction, Newfoundland And Labrador
Buchans Junction is a local service district and designated place in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador in the central part of the island of Newfoundland. It is on the banks of Mary March River near where the Mary March River flows into the northeast end of Red Indian Lake. The community is on a site first known as "Four Mile Siding" on the railway which was constructed in 1900 to connect the community of Millertown to the Newfoundland Railway at Millertown Junction. The site itself became a rail junction in 1927 when Asarco subsidiary, the Buchans Mining Company, completed a rail link from the newly formed mining town of Buchans. Ever since 1927, even after the Buchans Railway closed in 1977, the community has been known as "Buchans Junction." Red Indian Lake
Beothuk Lake, formerly Red Indian Lake, is located in the interior of central Newfoundland in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The lake drains into the Exploits River which flows through the interior of Newfoundland and exits into the Atlantic Ocean through the Bay of Exploits.
