Newark High School (Delaware)
Newark High School is a public high school in Newark, Delaware, and is one of three high schools within the Christina School District. It is one of the oldest educational institutions in the state, graduating its first class of students in 1893. In 2009, it saw its 20,000th student graduate. Newark has been named by ''Newsweek'' magazine as one of their "Top Schools in America." In 2006 Newark was ranked #521, in 2007 it was #271, and in 2008 it was #1041. This list represents the top 5% of the schools in the nation based on the number of AP, IB, and Cambridge exams taken divided by students graduating. The school was also named a GRAMMY Signature School in 2010 by the GRAMMY Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. Newark High School is a public high school in Newark, Ohio. It houses a little more than 2,000 students. It is the only high school in the Newark City Schools district. An additional 150 students attend the Career and Technical Education Center (C-TEC) associated with the school. Newark High School was built in 1959 and opened in 1961. The school underwent a massive construction project beginning in the Summer of 2010 and completed in the Spring of 2013 to convert the school into one building with 6 classroom wings, a student commons, a gymnasium, an auditorium, and the facility in which the entire district's lunches are produced. Newark Community High School is a public high school serving students from LaSalle, Kendall, and Grundy counties in Illinois. It is located in the town of Newark, in Kendall County. In the 2018–2019 school year, there was an enrollment of 161 students in grades 9–12. Special programs Newark has a wide variety of special programs for students. Newark Memorial High School (NMHS) is a comprehensive high school in Newark, California, United States. It is part of the Newark Unified School District (NUSD). History Newark Memorial High School was formed in 1983 as part of a school consolidation program instituted by NUSD. Prior to this, Newark had two high schools (Newark High School on Lafayette Avenue, and Memorial High School on Cedar Boulevard) and two "intermediate schools" for grades 78 (M. D.
