New Zealand Women's National Under-19 Cricket Team
The New Zealand women's under-19 cricket team represents New Zealand in international under-19 women's cricket. The team is administrated by New Zealand Cricket (NZC). The team played their first official matches against India in late 2022, in preparation for the 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup, the first ever international women's under-19 cricket competition. New Zealand reached the semi-finals of the first Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup. History The inaugural Women's Under-19 World Cup was scheduled to take place in January 2021, but was postponed multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament was eventually scheduled to take place in 2023, in South Africa. As a Full Member of the ICC, New Zealand qualified automatically for the tournament. Sara McGlashan
Sara Jade McGlashan (born 28 March 1982) is a New Zealand former cricketer who played as a right-handed batter and wicket-keeper. She appeared in 2 Test matches, 134 One Day Internationals and 76 Twenty20 Internationals for New Zealand between 2002 and 2016. She played domestic cricket for Central Districts and Auckland in New Zealand, as well as having stints with Australian Capital Territory, Sydney Sixers, Sussex and Southern Vipers. McGlashan along with Nicola Browne set the highest record 6th wicket partnership in the Women's World Cup history (139*). In 2016, she hit the final runs that secured the fightback for Sydney Sixers to qualify for the playoffs despite losing six games in a row to start the season. Not Out
In cricket, a batter is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batter is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Georgia Ellen Plimmer (born 8 February 2004) is a New Zealand cricketer who currently plays for Wellington Blaze as a right-handed batter. Frances Cecilia Jonas (born 8 April 2004) is a New Zealand cricketer who plays for Auckland as a slow left-arm orthodox bowler.
