Super Y League
The Super Y League is a youth soccer league with teams from the United States and Canada. Founded in 1999, the Super Y League is dedicated to the progression of future professional players and has steered the course for development of elite clubs, players and coaches. Affiliated with U.S. Soccer, the Super Y League has opened countless doors for players to be identified for U.S. National Team programs. The Super Y League contains the youth academies of Major League Soccer, United Soccer League and Premier Development League clubs. The league also serves clubs looking to develop the game from the ground up. The Super Y League operates the following age groups: U-12, U-13, U-14, U-15, U-16/17, U-18/19. San Pedro Yugoslavs
The San Pedro Yugoslavs was a soccer team based in San Pedro, Los Angeles that played in Greater Los Angeles Soccer League. History The club, which represented the community Yugoslav of San Pedro , the district of Los Angeles , had joined the Greater Los Angeles Soccer League. Active since the 1950s ,the club reached the National Challenge Cup on four occasions. The first final reached was in 1971 and was lost against the New York Hota . The following year San Pedro reached the final again, losing it against the Elizabeth SC. They returned to the National Challenge Cup in 1984 , losing it against the New York AO Krete . They played their last final in 1986, losing against the St. Louis Kutis. In 1987 they could have participated in the 1987 CONCACAF Champions' Cup but the club gave up participating and thus lost both qualifying matches against the Mexicans of the America. The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, commonly known as the U.S. Open Cup (USOC), is a knockout cup competition in men's soccer in the United States of America. It is the oldest ongoing national soccer competition in that country. The 2023 U.S. Open Cup competition is currently underway, with the qualifying stages taking place from September 17 - December 18, 2022. The competition was first held during the 1913–1914 season as the National Challenge Cup, with Brooklyn Field Club winning a trophy donated by Thomas Dewar for the promotion of American soccer. It was renamed and dedicated to North American Soccer League (NASL) and Major League Soccer (MLS) executive Lamar Hunt by the United States Soccer Federation in 1999.
