New Utrecht High School
New Utrecht High School is a state school, public Secondary education in the United States, high school located in Bensonhurst, a neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York (state), New York. The school is operated by the New York City Department of Education under District 20, and serves students of grades 9 to 12. It is one of the largest high schools in New York City in terms of enrollment. History New Utrecht High School was established in 1915 as an offshoot of the nearby coeducational Bay Ridge High School. This resulted in New Utrecht High School becoming an all-boys school, while Bay Ridge High School became an all-girls school. The first location of the school was a wooden building on 86th Street and 18th Avenue, and it had a population of 350 students. New Utrecht ( nl, Nieuw Utrecht) was a town in western Long Island, New York encompassing all or part of the present-day Bath Beach, Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst, Borough Park, Dyker Heights and Fort Hamilton neighborhoods of Brooklyn, New York City. Steve Augeri (born January 30, 1959) is an American rock singer best known for his work as the lead singer of Journey from 1998 to 2006. He was also affiliated with Tall Stories and Tyketto. Koby Altman (born September 16, 1982) is the President of Basketball Operations of the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Early life Altman was raised in Brooklyn, New York. Walter Adams (August 27, 1922 – September 8, 1998) was an Austrian-born American economist and college professor. He served as the 13th President of Michigan State University and served as an expert witness before 36 congressional committees. Early life Walter Adams was born in Vienna, Austria, in 1922.
