New Tradition
''New Tradition'' is the second album by American hard rock supergroup Dark New Day, released on February 28, 2012. It is their third release in six years after ''Black Porch (Acoustic Sessions)'' and their second album since ''Twelve Year Silence''. Originally due to be released in 2006 under the title of "Hail Mary", the band faced troubles due to their contract with Warner, forcing them to shelve the album altogether. In late 2011, the band decided to get back together and release the material through their new record company, Goomba Music. Will Hunt
William Hunt (born September 5, 1971) is an American drummer. He has been a member of rock band Evanescence since 2007, and has also played for Skrape, Dark New Day, Black Label Society, Device, Crossfade, Staind, Static-X, and Slaughter. Career He looks up to Tommy Lee, John Bonham, Peter Criss, Abe Cunningham, and Stewart Copeland as his influences to his drumming. One of Hunt's earliest bands was Axe Attack, formed during 1988 in Tallahassee, Florida. He was also the second drummer in Tallahassee band Witt's End, a cover band that played several club gigs. This was the first band for all the members of Witt's End that earned them a living, making it the first professional band for all of them. Corey Lowery
Corey French Lowery is an American musician, songwriter, record producer and engineer. He is the guitarist and backing vocalist for South African rock band Seether, and a former member of Saint Asonia, Stuck Mojo, Stereomud, Eye Empire, and Dark New Day. He is the brother of Clint Lowery. History Lowery played bass guitar with Stuck Mojo from 1995 to 1998, including most of two most albums, ''Pigwalk'' and '' Rising''. He then joined Stereomud which consisted of Lowery on bass, Erik Rogers on vocals, Dan Richardson on drums, and John Fattoruso and Joey Zampella on guitars. They released their first album, ''Perfect Self'', on Columbia Records in 2001 and a video for the song "Pain" received airplay on MTV2. They released ''Every Given Moment'' in April 2003. Troy McLawhorn
William Troy McLawhorn (born November 4, 1968) is an American musician who has been a guitarist in the rock band Evanescence since 2007. He has also worked with the bands Seether, Dark New Day, doubleDrive, Still Rain, and Gibraltar. Early career McLawhorn was formerly of the bands Seether, doubleDrive and Still Rain. After the demise of his first band, Still Rain, McLawhorn helped form doubleDrive in 1996 and landed a recording contract with MCA records in 1998. They scored a top 20 hit with the song "Tattooed Bruise" from their debut album '' 1000 Yard Stare''. The band left MCA and signed a new deal with Roadrunner Records in 2001 and released their second album, ''Blue in the Face'', with the song "Imprint" reaching into the top 20 also. Brett Hestla
Brett Adam Hestla (born February 4, 1973) is an American musician. Career In the late 1990s, Hestla's band Virgos Merlot was signed to Atlantic Records. After their first release, '' Signs of a Vacant Soul'', he became the touring bassist for Creed after the departure of Brian Marshall. When Creed disbanded in 2004, Hestla began a career as a record producer, forming the independent label Silent Majority in Orlando, Florida and working with bands such as The Supervillains, Framing Hanley, Transmit Now, Faktion, Tantric, Redfine, Refuse The Fall, Bad Axis, Iodine Sky, Calefactor and Seven Day Sonnet. Switched (band)
Switched (previously depicted as Sw1tched) was a nu metal band from Cleveland, Ohio. History Forming in 1999 as Sw1tch, the band played shows around Ohio and released a demo entitled ''Fuckin' Demo''. The songs "Anymore", "Wrongside", "Inside", "Darkening Days", "Last Chance", and "Skins", which appear in their demo versions on this CD, went on to appear on the '' Subject to Change'' album. This demo was later re-released on disc two of the "Ghosts in the Machine" album in 2006. Since a funk band already had rights to the name Switch, the band had to change their name to Sw1tched, and was later signed to Immortal/Virgin Records. Sevendust
Sevendust is an American rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 1994 by bassist Vince Hornsby, drummer Morgan Rose and rhythm guitarist John Connolly. After their first demo, lead vocalist Lajon Witherspoon and lead guitarist Clint Lowery joined the group.
