New Mersey Shopping Park
New Mersey Shopping Park is an out of town retail park located in Speke, Liverpool, England. It opened in 1985. The park is situated alongside the A561 road near to Liverpool John Lennon Airport south-east of Liverpool city centre. Much of the construction occurred in 1999 to 2000 when the complex was home to thirty one units and had a combined total gross internal floor area of , New Mersey Park has since seen the construction of several new units to the south of the A561 adjacent to the former Speke Airport terminal building (which is now the Crowne Plaza LJLA Hotel). There are parking spaces for approximately 1,850 vehicles. Speke () is a suburb of Liverpool. It is southeast of the city centre. Located near the widest part of the River Mersey, it is bordered by the suburbs of Garston and Hunts Cross, and nearby to Halewood, Hale Village, and Widnes. Liverpool John Lennon Airport is an international airport in Liverpool, England, on the estuary of the River Mersey south-east of Liverpool city centre. The Crowne Plaza Liverpool John Lennon Airport Hotel, formerly the Marriott Liverpool South Hotel, is an airport hotel near to Liverpool John Lennon Airport, serving the English city of Liverpool. Today a member of the Crowne Plaza chain owned by the InterContinental Hotels Group, the Grade II* listed Art Deco hotel building has an unusual history.
