New Jersey Junior Titans
The New Jersey Titans are a Tier II junior ice hockey team in the North American Hockey League. Based in Middletown Township, New Jersey, the Titans play their home games at the Middletown Ice World. History Prior to the franchise's move to Middletown, the NAHL franchise played from 2005 to 2012 in Traverse City, Michigan as the Traverse City North Stars, and from 2012 to 2015 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, as the Soo Eagles. Prior to purchasing the NAHL franchise, the Titans' junior hockey organization had previously fielded a Tier III junior hockey team in the Eastern Hockey League from 2012 to 2015. The Espanola Eagles (aka Espanola Screaming Eagles) were a Canadian Junior ice hockey team. The team was coached for eighteen years by Red McCarthy who then managed it for another four. The Eagles were located in Espanola, Ontario and played in the Memorial Cup-eligible Northern Ontario Junior Hockey Association and later the Centennial Cup-eligible Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League. The Eagles played from 1962 until 2003 when their franchise was bought by interests in Michigan and relocated. The team was renamed the Northern Michigan Black Bears. The New Mexico Ice Wolves are a Tier II junior ice hockey team in the North American Hockey League's South Division. The Wolves play their home games in the Outpost Ice Arenas in Albuquerque, New Mexico. History On February 28, 2019, the NAHL board of governors announced that they had approved the membership application for a team in New Mexico owned by Desert Ice Investment, LLC and that the team would start play in the 2019–20 season as a member of the South Division. Their inaugural season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the team had already been eliminated from playoff contention with 31 points in 52 games played. The Northeast Generals are a Tier II junior ice hockey team based in Attleboro, Massachusetts. The team competes in the North American Hockey League (NAHL). History In 2015, the organization added a Tier III junior team to the North American 3 Eastern Hockey League (NA3EHL). The team finished last in the East Division with a 9–32–3 record. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights are a junior ice hockey organization from Pittston, Pennsylvania. In 2015, the Knights' junior hockey organization purchased the dormant Dawson Creek Rage franchise in the Tier II North American Hockey League (NAHL) and placed their Tier III franchise in the Eastern Hockey League into dormancy.
