New Jersey's 1st congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The district, which includes Camden and South Jersey suburbs of Philadelphia, has been represented by Democrat Donald Norcross since November 2014. It is among the most reliably Democratic districts in New Jersey, as it is mainly made up of Democratic-dominated Camden County. New Jersey Route 1
Route 1 was a state highway in the U.S. state of New Jersey prior to the 1953 renumbering. Created in the 1927 renumbering, it was designated to run from Rockleigh to Bayonne, along the Hudson River.ROUTE NO. 1. Alpine to Bayonne. Beginning at the New York state line on state highway route heretofore designated as Route No. 18--north in Alpine and terminating in Bayonne, by way of Alpine, Tenafly, Fort Lee and Ridgefield, in Bergen county, North Bergen, Jersey City and Bayonne, in Hudson county. Deptford Township (pronounced DEP-ford) is a Township (New Jersey), township in Gloucester County, New Jersey, Gloucester County in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States census, 2010 U.S. census, the township's population was 30,561, reflecting an increase of 3,798 (+14.2%) from the 26,763 counted in the 2000 United States census, 2000 census. Deptford Township was formed June 1, 1695 and was known initially as Bethlehem. Woodbury Heights is a borough in Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 3,098, an increase of 43 (+1.4%) from the 2010 census count of 3,055, which in turn reflected an increase of 67 (+2.2%) from the 2,988 counted in the 2000 census. Woodbury Heights was formed as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 6, 1915, from portions of Deptford Township, based on the results of a referendum held on April 27, 1915. Portions were exchanged with Woodbury in 1925, and portions of the city were annexed on March 22, 1938. West Deptford Township (pronounced West DEP-ford) is a township in Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 U.S. census, the township's population was 22,197, reflecting an increase of 520 (+2.4%) from the 21,677 counted in the 2010 census, which had in turn increased by 2,309 (+11.9%) from the 19,368 counted in the 2000 census. Washington Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey
Washington Township is a township in Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 U.S. census, the township's population was 48,677, an increase of 118 from the 2010 census count of 48,559, which in turn reflected an increase of 1,445 (+3.1%) from the 47,114 counted in the 2000 census. For 2021, the Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program calculated a population of 49,391. Washington Township was incorporated by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 17, 1836, from portions of Deptford Township. The township officially moved to the newly created Camden County on March 13, 1844. Monroe Township was created on March 3, 1859, from part of the township. Monroe Township is a township in Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 37,117, an increase of 988 (+2.7%) from the 2010 census count of 36,129, in turn reflecting an increase of 7,162 (+24.7%) from the 28,967 counted in the 2000 census. The township is part of the South Jersey region of the state. Monroe Township was originally formed as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 3, 1859, from portions of Washington Township while the area was still part of Camden County.
