New Intentions
''New Intentions'' is Ugandan film written and directed by Kennedy Kihire starring Ife Piankhi, Sinovella Night, Kawooya Malcolm, and Joel Okuyo Atiku. The film was released on 3 May 2016 at Uganda National Cultural Centre (UNCC). The film is nominated in six categories at the 2016 Uganda Film Festival including Best Screenplay, Best Sound, Best cinematography, Film of the Year, Best lead Actress and Best Feature Film, Best film director/Film of year. Plot A couple of bankers decide to be foster parents when they adopt an orphaned girl “Wellona” after discovering billions of money in her name at their bank. The money that she by default inherited from her deceased parents. In adopting her unaware of her own worth, they believe they will get an awesome share of the money. Unfortunately, the foster mother falls ill in a coma for months, then their master plan drastically changes to a journey of lust, secrecy and betrayal where pretty Wellona falls a victim and has to endure. ...

Joel Okuyo Atiku
Okuyo Joel Atiku Prynce is a Ugandan actor, model, photographer and lecturer at Uganda Christian University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration (BSWSA) plus Makerere University, the Best Two Campuses in Uganda. His film acting breakthrough came when he was cast as the Devil's reincarnation in Ugandan director Matt Bish's 2007 Film ''Battle of the Souls'', a popular Ugawood Movie. It was based on the real-life story of the director's brother, KFM Radio Presenter Roger Mugisha. Prynce is also the President of his own company The Lhynnq-X, Inc. Usama () "Osam" Nyanzi Mukwaya (born 12 December 1989) is a Ugandan screenwriter, film director, producer, actor and former television host. His major films include ''Bala Bala Sese'', directed by Lukyamuzi Bashir with which Mukwaya is credited as the film's writer and producer. Giovanni Kiyingi
Giovanni Kiyingi, is a Ugandan folk singer-songwriter and world music artist. He is known for his skills as a multi-instrumentalist who plays the local Ugandan fiddle (endingidi), akogo, adungu, guitar, harmonica, flute, djembe, calabash, congas, drums, and maracas, among others. Ugandan Film
The emerging film industry in Uganda is known as Ugawood or sometimes Kinauganda by the locals. The 2005 production ''Feelings Struggle'' directed by Ashraf Ssemwogerere is credited with being the first Ugawood film. Many have asserted that this steadily growing film industry is derived from Hollywood, in the same manner as Nollywood and Bollywood. In a story that ran in a local newspaper in Uganda about the naming of the industry, filmmakers Kuddzu Isaac, Matt Bish and Usama Mukwaya were quoted as saying that Ugawood would be the most appropriate name for the industry. Audiences go to video halls where narrators called "video jokers" translate the dialogue and add their own commentary. Patrons also rent DVDs and watch feature films on prime-time TV. The Uganda Film Festival Award for Best Director, also known as Feature Film of the Year, is an award presented annually by Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) at the Uganda Film Festival Awards.
