New Face Of Serbia
The New Face of Serbia ( sr, Ново лице Србије, Novo lice Srbije, abbr. NLS) is a political party in Serbia. Miloš Parandilović has served as its president since its formation in September 2022. Parandilović was previously a member of the Movement for the Restoration of the Kingdom of Serbia. Following Žika Gojković's decision to side with the ruling Serbian Progressive Party, Parandilović disassociated with Gojković and formed NLS. After the Belgrade school shooting and the Mladenovac and Smederevo shootings in May 2023, NLS was one of the organisers of the mass anti-government protests. In the 2023 parliamentary election, it was part of the Serbia Against Violence alliance and won 2 seats in the National Assembly of Serbia. Miloš Parandilović
Miloš Parandilović ( sr-cyr, Милош Парандиловић; born 26 March 1989) is a politician in Serbia. He was elected to the National Assembly of Serbia in the 2022 Serbian parliamentary election as a candidate of the Movement for the Restoration of the Kingdom of Serbia (''Pokret obnove Kraljevine Srbije'', POKS). He is now the leader of the New Face of Serbia. Early life and private career Parandilović was born in Priboj, in what was then the Socialist Republic of Serbia in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. He was raised in the community and attended business and technical college in nearby Užice. He is a specialist professional civil engineer. Mladenovac And Smederevo Shootings
On the evening of 4 May 2023, a shooting spree occurred in the villages of Dubona near Mladenovac, and Malo Orašje near Smederevo, Serbia. Armed with an automatic assault rifle, the shooter opened fire from a car, resulting in the deaths of nine individuals, including an off-duty police officer, and leaving twelve others injured. The suspect, 20-year-old Uroš Blažić, fled the scene but was apprehended the next day near Kragujevac. Following the incident, Blažić's father, uncle, and first cousin were also taken into custody, facing charges related to criminal possession of a weapon. Uncle and first cousin were tried separately from the rest. First cousin was found guilty and sentenced to 18 months in prison, while uncle was acquitted. Vladimir Orlić
Vladimir Orlić ( sr-cyr, Владимир Орлић; born 15 April 1983) is a Serbian politician serving as president of the National Assembly of Serbia since 2022. A member of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), he has served in the National Assembly of Serbia since 2014. He has been serving as the vice president of SNS since November 2021. Early life and career Orlić was born in Belgrade, in what was then the Socialist Republic of Serbia in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. He graduated from the University of Belgrade School of Electrical Engineering in 2007 and received a Ph.D. from the same institution in 2012. 2022 Serbian General Election
General elections were held in Serbia on 3 April 2022 to elect both the president and members of the National Assembly. Initially, parliamentary elections were scheduled to be held in 2024; however, in October 2020 president Aleksandar Vučić stated that snap parliamentary elections would be held in or before April 2022. In addition to the general elections, local elections were held simultaneously in 12 municipalities and 2 cities, including Belgrade. The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) came to power in 2012 after forming a government with the Socialist Party of Serbia. Dveri
The Serbian Movement "Dveri" ( sr-Cyr, Српски покрет Двери, Srpski pokret Dveri), commonly just known as Dveri (), is a nationalist and right-wing populist political party in Serbia. It its currently led by Boško Obradović, who is one of the co-founders of the party. Formed as a youth-orientated political organization in 1999, it published an eponymous student magazine that promoted clerical and nationalist content. Through the 2000s, it operated as a non-governmental organization that campaigned in favor of Christian right views, that included opposition to abortion and opposition to gay rights. The electoral threshold, or election threshold, is the minimum share of the primary vote that a candidate or political party requires to achieve before they become entitled to representation or additional seats in a legislature. The Serbian Renewal Movement ( sr-cyrl, Српски покрет обнове, Srpski pokret obnove, SPO) is a liberal and monarchist political party in Serbia. History The Serbian Renewal Movement party was founded in 1990 through the merger of Drašković's faction from the Serbian National Renewal (SNO) party and Vojislav Šešelj's Serbian Freedom Movement. Šešelj left the party in 1991 after internal quarrels and founded the Serbian Radical Party. It was initially aligned with national conservatism and supported the territorial expansion of Serbia.
