New Country (Armenia)
New Country (; ''Nor Yerkir'') was a political party in Armenia. It was created by Artashes Tumanyan, Chief of staff to former President Robert Kocharyan. History Artashes Tumanyan participated in the 2003 Armenian parliamentary election under the Armenian Revolutionary Federation's (ARF) proportional list. Tumanyan later established the New Country party and there was speculation that New Country could form a political alliance with the ARF. However, Robert Kocharyan was opposed to any cooperation between the two parties. The party had intentions to participate in future elections and had scheduled its founding congress for 18 March 2006. However, on 16 March 2006, Tumanyan announced that he no longer would be an active member of the newly established party. As such, the party dissolved and had not participated in any elections. New Country (Sirius)
Since 2008, Sirius XM Radio has had a similar channel lineup, with a few differences based on whether the individual has a Sirius, XM, or SiriusXM radio. For technical reasons, separate radios continue to be manufactured for the separate services despite the programming lineups having since been merged. The Lynx and Edge radios are on the SiriusXM platform, the Onyx and XM3pi radios are on the XM platform, and the Sportster and Starmate radios are on the Sirius platform. New Country Party
The New Country Party was a minor political party in Australia. It emerged from the internal divisions of the One Nation Party in Queensland and Western Australia in 2003 (in a similar fashion to the City Country Alliance) and was registered by the Australian Electoral Commission on 9 January 2004. Two Western Australian state upper house MPs elected on One Nation tickets, Paddy Embry and Frank Hough, joined the party and were its only serving MPs until their defeat in the Western Australian state election in 2005. In the leadup to the October 2004 Federal election, there was some suggestion that Queensland independent MP Bob Katter would run on the New Country Party ticket. However, he did not do so.
