Air France Flight 066
Air France Flight 066 was a scheduled international passenger flight from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to Los Angeles International Airport, operated by Air France and using an Airbus A380-861. On 30 September 2017, the aircraft suffered an uncontained engine failure and made an emergency landing at Goose Bay Airport, Canada. The outboard right-side Engine Alliance GP7000 engine failed and its fan hub and intake separated southeast of Paamiut, Greenland, while the aircraft was in cruise flight. A crack in the fan hub had been caused by metal fatigue. This was the second uncontained engine failure suffered by an Airbus A380, following that of a Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engine on Qantas Flight 32 in 2010. Uncial 066 (in the Biblical manuscript#Gregory-Aland, Gregory-Aland numbering), α 1000 (Biblical manuscript#Von Soden, Soden), is a Greek uncial manuscript of the New Testament. Palaeography, Palaeographically it has been assigned to the 6th-century. Description The codex contains a small part of the Acts of the Apostles, Acts 28:8-17, on one parchment leaf (25 cm by 20 cm). The text is written in two columns per page, 25 lines per page. It is a palimpsest. The upper text has a Georgian calendar. The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Western text-type, but it has some the Caesarean text-type, Caesarean readings. Kurt Aland placed it in Categories of New Testament manuscripts#Category III, Category III. Currently the manuscript is dated by the INTF to the 6th century. Overview The wheel arrangement was usually found on Single Fairlie or Mason Bogie locomotives. The Fairlie locomotive was invented and patented in 1864 by the Scottish engineer Robert Francis Fairlie. The first Fairlie locomotives later became known as Double Fairlies. A variation of the original Fairlie concept was the Single Fairlie, also known as the Mason Fairlie. The Single Fairlie design was essentially half a Double Fairlie. It retained the ability to negotiate sharp curves and, while it abandoned the bidirectional nature of the Double Fairlie, it regained the ability of conventional locomotives to have a large water and coal bunker behind the cab and to use a trailing tender if necessary.
