Neuromonakh Feofan
Neuromonakh Feofan () is a musical project from St. Petersburg, Russia, combining drum 'n' bass and Russian folk music. Neuromonakh Feofan's performances are styled after traditional Russian festivals. The group members perform in bast shoes, kosovorotkas and sarafans. One member performs dressed as a bear. The group's lyrics incorporate Church Slavonic and obsolete Russian words, and they play balalaika over the drum 'n' bass beats. Members The project's main members are songwriter and performer Neuromonakh Feofan, DJ Nikodim, and the Bear. The group members remain anonymous, and Neuromonakh Feofan appears on stage with his face covered by an Eastern Orthodox-style hood. In a 2018 interview, Neuromonakh Feofan revealed that his real name is Oleg Stepanov. Bi-2 (russian: Би-2 ''Bi-dva'') is a Belarusian alternative rock band, formed in the 1980s in Bobruisk, Belarus. It was one of the most successful with many sales and chart-hits in Russia. Bi-2 was awarded MTV Russian Music Awards for Best Rock Act in 2007. History Early history The band was formed in 1985 in Minsk, Belarus, by two teenagers, Aleksandr "Shura" Uman and Egor "Lyova" Bortnik, who were amateur actors. Initially, the band's name was "Bratya po Oruzhiyu" (Brothers in Arms), which was formed in 1988, then "Bereg Istini" (Shore of Truth), which resulted in abbreviation BI-2. Slot (russian: Слот) is a Russian metal band. Members of the group that include Daria "Nookie" Stavrovich, Igor "Cache" Lobanov, Sergey "ID" Bogolyubsky, Nikita Muravyov, and Vasiliy «Ghost» Gorshkov. Since its inception the group has released eight studio albums, two remix albums, two mini-albums, two live DVDs, recorded 20 singles, and contributed to several soundtracks. Sergey Shnurov
Sergey Vladimirovich Shnurov (russian: Серге́й Влади́мирович Шну́ров; born 13 April 1973) is a Russian musician and songwriter, best known as ''Shnur'' (lit. cord), of the ska-punk band Leningrad which he formed in 1997. The group disbanded between 2008 and 2010, during which time Shnur formed Rubl with other members of Leningrad. Three of Shnur's songs featured on the ''Everything Is Illuminated'' soundtrack: ''Звезда рок-н-ролла'' (Rock-n-Roll Star), ''Дикий мужчина'' (Wild Man), and ''Маленький мальчик'' (A Little Boy). Ivan Kupala (russian: Иван Купала) is a Russian music band from Saint Petersburg comprising Denis Fyodorov, Alexei Rumyantsev and Alexei Ivanov. The group mixes traditional Russian folk songs with electronic sounds, producing a unique blend of world music. The band named after traditional Slavic holiday.
