Netherlands–Turkey Relations
Dutch–Turkish relations are the bilateral relations between the Netherlands and Turkey. The diplomatic relations widely encompass and span four centuries, beginning in 1612. The first Turkish representative in the Netherlands started activities in 1859. Before the Netherlands, Dutch had their own Consul (representative), consuls in the Levant, they traded under the Capitulations of the Ottoman Empire, French Capitulations of 1569 until they sent Cornelius Haga as a consul to Istanbul in 1611. The States-General of the Netherlands, States-General was responsible for appointing the consul, but the Levant merchants in these cases were closely consulted. The poor payment system for the consuls disrupted the potential successes of the relationship between consul and merchant community. Embassy Of Turkey, The Hague
The Embassy of Turkey in The Hague is the chief diplomatic mission of the Turkey, Republic of Turkey in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Turks In The Netherlands
Turks in the Netherlands (; ), also Dutch Turks () or Turkish Dutch (; ), refers to people of full or partial Turkish ethnicity living in the Netherlands. They form the largest ethnic minority group in the country; thus, the Turks are the second-largest ethnic group in the Netherlands after the ethnic Dutch. The MIM-104 Patriot is a mobile interceptor missile surface-to-air missile (SAM) system, the primary such system used by the United States Army and several allied states. It is manufactured by the U.S. defense contractor Raytheon and derives its name from the radar component of the weapon system.
