Netherlands Men's National Under-21 Field Hockey Team
The Netherlands men's national under-21 field hockey team represents the Netherlands in men's international under-21 field hockey and is controlled by the Koninklijke Nederlandse Hockey Bond, the governing body for field hockey in the Netherlands. The team competes in the Men's EuroHockey Junior Championships which they have won a record ten times. They have also appeared in all Junior World Cups where their best result is winning the silver medal in 1985 and 2009. Koninklijke Nederlandse Hockey Bond
The Royal Dutch Hockey Association ( nl, Koninklijke Nederlandse Hockey Bond, KNHB) is the official governing body of Field hockey in the Netherlands. It governs both the indoor and outdoor field hockey leagues, as well as the Netherlands men's national field hockey team, Netherlands national field hockey team and the Netherlands women's national field hockey team. Originally, the association was also responsible for bandy in the Netherlands, but that sport is now governed by Bandy Bond Nederland. Origin At its foundation in 1898 as the Nederlandsche Hockey & Bandy Bond (NHBB) in the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam, the KNHB consisted of five clubs practicing field hockey as well as bandy. Bandy got sidelined quickly in the organisation's program due to the fact that because of the Oceanic climate, Dutch climate bandy couldn't be practised a lot. 2019 Men's EuroHockey Junior Championship
The 2019 Men's EuroHockey Junior Championship was the 19th edition of the men's EuroHockey Junior Championship, the biennial international men's under-21 field hockey championship of Europe organised by the European Hockey Federation. It was held alongside the women's tournament in Valencia, Spain from 15 to 21 July 2019. This tournament served as the European qualifier for the 2021 FIH Junior World Cup, with the top six teams qualifying. Germany won the tournament for the sixth time by defeating England 5–3 in the final. The defending champions, the Netherlands won the bronze model by defeating the hosts Spain 3–1. The 2023 Men's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup was the 13th edition of the Men's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, the biennial men's under-21 field hockey world championship organized by the International Hockey Federation. The 2021 Men's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup was the 12th edition of the Men's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, the biennial men's under-21 field hockey world championship organized by the International Hockey Federation. It was held at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, India from 24 November to 5 December 2021. The hosts India were the defending champions but lost to Germany in the semifinals. Argentina won their second title by defeating Germany in the final. Qualification A total of 16 teams qualified for the final tournament.
