Nestor Morales Stadium is a baseball stadium in Humacao, Puerto Rico. The stadium, located at the Osvaldo Gil Bosch sports complex is used by the Grises de Humacao double A baseball team and the Tornados de Humacao who play in the Puerto Rico Soccer League. Humacao () is a city and municipality in Puerto Rico located in the eastern coast of the island, north of Yabucoa; south of Naguabo; east of Las Piedras; and west of Vieques Passage. Humacao is spread over 12 barrios and Humacao Pueblo (the downtown area and the administrative center of the city). It is part of the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo Metropolitan Statistical Area. History The region of what is now Humacao belonged to the Taíno region of Humaka, which covered a portion of the southeast coast of Puerto Rico. Tornados De Humacao
Tornados de Humacao is a Puerto Rican football club based in Humacao, which currently plays in the Puerto Rico Soccer League. It is affiliated to Pachuca of Mexico. History The team plays in Nestor Morales Stadium in Humacao. Early years The team's origins date back to 1994, when Colombian coach Jorge Eliécer Paredes brought together a group of boys in the neighborhood of Villa Universitaria, Humacao to practice the sport every Saturday. It wasn't until 20 April 1995 that the team officially registered in the FPF as Club de Fútbol Tornados de la Ciudad Gris, and that same year they started participating in federation sponsored youth tournaments and events. Alejandro Javier García Padilla (; born August 3, 1971) is a Puerto Rican politician and attorney who served as the governor of Puerto Rico from 2013 to 2017. Prior to this position, García Padilla held various roles in the political landscape of Puerto Rico; first as Secretary of Consumer Affairs, and then as a member of the 24th Senate of Puerto Rico and as president of the Popular Democratic Party. The 2012 Puerto Rico gubernatorial election was held on November 6, 2012, to elect the Governor of Puerto Rico. The incumbent PNP Governor Luis Fortuño and Resident Commissioner Pedro Pierluisi ran for a second term during this election. Their major challengers were the PPD nominee and current Senator Alejandro García Padilla and his running mate, Rafael Cox Alomar. The election also featured four minor party candidates, being the second time in 40 years with six candidates for governor. In the morning of November 7, 2012, Fortuño conceded the election to Alejandro García Padilla, just as the last votes were being counted. However, Pierluisi retained his position as Resident Commissioner by defeating Cox Alomar. With a margin of 0.6%, this election was the closest race of the 2012 gubernatorial election cycle.
