Don Ness
Don Ness (born January 9, 1974) is an American politician who served as the 38th Mayor of Duluth, Minnesota from 2008 to 2016. He is a member of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. Early life and education Ness was born in Duluth to Don and Mary Ness. His father was the pastor of a small, non-denominational Christian church, who also was chaplain at Northwoods Children's Services. Ness was educated in Duluth's public school system, attending Central High School before earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from University of Minnesota Duluth, where he was given the Sieur du Lhut Award for his service to the campus. He later earned an MBA degree from the College of St. Scholastica. Career Ness has a history of active service to and involvement in the Duluth community. Jamie Ness
Jamie Ness (born 2 March 1991) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Forfar Athletic. Ness began his career with Rangers and made his debut for the first team in January 2011. He then scored against Celtic in the Scottish Cup but his progress was hampered by injuries. In 2012, he became a free agent and joined Stoke City. He failed to make an impression with Stoke and spent time out on loan with Leyton Orient and Crewe Alexandra. Ness joined Scunthorpe United in July 2015 on a free transfer. He spent two years with the ''Iron'' before joining Plymouth Argyle in June 2017. In 2019 he signed for Scottish Championship side Dundee. Terje Ness (born 7 April 1968) is a Norwegian chef. He was born in Førde. His mother was a diet cook at the hospital in Førde. Ness was apprenticed at Sunnfjord Hotell in 1987, received a trade certificate at the age of 21 in 1989, was with Frode Aga at Hallingstuene in Geilo, and he was also in Hemsedal and Stavanger. Helge Ness (November 4, 1861 – December 30, 1928) was a Norwegian botanist. He was born in Rosendal, Norway. In 1889, he became the first international student to graduate from Texas A&M University, and began to work at that university. Ness was the first botanist in the United States to produce hybrid oaks. Eliot Ness (April 19, 1903 – May 16, 1957) was an American Prohibition agent known for his efforts to bring down Al Capone and enforce Prohibition in Chicago. He was the leader of a team of law enforcement agents, nicknamed The Untouchables. His co-authorship of an autobiography, ''The Untouchables'', which was released shortly after his death, launched several television and motion picture portrayals establishing Ness's posthumous fame as an incorruptible crime fighter. Air Marshal Sir Charles Ernest Ness, (4 April 1924 – 13 September 1994) was a senior Royal Air Force commander. Arlen Darryl Ness (July 12, 1939 – March 22, 2019) was an American motorcycle designer and entrepreneur best known for his custom motorcycles. Ness received acclaim for his designs, most of which are noted for their unique body style and paintwork. Early life Ness was born in Moorhead, Minnesota, on July 12, 1939, to Elaine and Ervin Ness, and moved to San Lorenzo, California, when he was in the sixth grade. Prior to his career as a motorcycle builder, Ness worked as a pin setter at the local bowling alley, and later as a post office worker and furniture mover. Immanuel Ness is a scholar of worker's organisation, migration, mobilisation and politics and Labour movement, labour activist teaching at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. His contribution is on worker's movements and party formation in the Global South, where he has worked with leading activists in India, South Africa, and beyond.
