Adalgisa Nery
Adalgisa Nery (October 29, 1905 – June 7, 1980) was a Brazilian poet, journalist and politician. Biography She was born in Rio de Janeiro as Adalgisa Maria Feliciana Noel Cancela Ferreira, the daughter of a civil servant. In 1922 she married Ismael Nery (1900–1934), a painter and poet who introduced Adalgisa to a circle of Brazilian artists and intellectuals that included Manuel Bandeira, Jorge de Lima and Murilo Mendes. The Nerys lived in Europe from 1927 to 1929, where they met the artist Marc Chagall and the Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos. Ismael died of tuberculosis in 1934, leaving Adalgisa with two sons. Nery began to publish poetry and fiction after her first husband's death. Her first book, ''Poemas'', published in 1937, received critical acclaim, and she wrote short stories and magazine articles. Emmanuel Augusto Nery commonly known as Nery, (25 December 1892 - 5 November 1927) was a Brazilian football player. He was a member of the Brazilian squad at the 1916 Copa America, helping them finish third and win the bronze medal. Career Nery started his career from Fluminense in 1910 and two years later he moved to crosstown rivals Flamengo where he played until 1919. Nery Mantey Niangkouara ( el, Νέρι Νιαγκουάρα) (born March 14, 1983 in Athens, Greece) is a Greek swimmer. She began her career at Nereus Halandri and then moved on to Panathinaikos. In 2001, she won 2 silver medals at the Mediterranean Games in the 100m and relay races. She was 5th in the European Championships in 2002 in Relay 4Ch100. She won the first medal for the Greek colors in the European Swimming Championships in Madrid, with a time of 55.05 in the 100m free. In the 2004 Olympics in Athens she was 6th in the 100m free and 7th in the 50 meters, and was disqualified in the 4 × 100 m free. Nery Gustavo Kennedy Rolón (born May 28, 1973) is a javelin thrower from Paraguay, who represented his native country at two Summer Olympics (1992 and 2000). He briefly held the South American record for the Javelin Throw with a result of 81.28m, thrown on 9 May 1998, overtaking compatriot Edgar Baumann at the time. Felipe Nery Franco (born 26 May 1959) is a Paraguayan former footballer who played as a striker. During his career, Franco played for teams such as Olimpia Asunción, Club Libertad and Deportivo Humaitá of Paraguay; and for Cúcuta Deportivo and Unión Magdalena of Colombia. While in Olimpia, he won important titles with the club, although he came in as a substitute most of the time. Nery Alberto Castillo Confalonieri (born 13 June 1984) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a forward. Early years Nery Castillo was born in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, where his father, a Uruguayan professional footballer, had played for the local team of San Luis. He is also of Italian descent.
