Nerd Corps Entertainment was a Canadian 2D, 3D computer animation and flash animation studio located in Vancouver British Columbia. Founded by former Mainframe Entertainment producers Asaph Fipke and Chuck Johnson in 2002, the company was acquired by DHX Media (now WildBrain) on December 24, 2014. As of 2016, the Nerd Corps name has been phased out in favor of the generic DHX Media name. Slugterra
''Slugterra'' is an animated television series created by Asaph Fipke. The series was produced by the Canadian animation studio Nerd Corps Entertainment, a subsidiary of DHX Media (now WildBrain). It premiered on Disney XD Canada on September 3, 2012 and began broadcasts in the United States the following month. ''Daily Hive'', formerly known as ''Vancity Buzz'', is a Canadian online newspaper based in Vancouver, British Columbia. It began digital publishing in 2008 and became Western Canada's largest online-only publication by 2016. In September 2022, ZoomerMedia announced a deal to acquire ''Daily Hive'' for $16.4 million. ''Endangered Species'' is a Canadian computer-animated children's television series created by Asaph Fipke, produced by Nerd Corps Entertainment and distributed internationally by DHX Media for Teletoon that premiered on the channel on March 3, 2015, and aimed for kids ages 6–11. Synopsis Pickle the yellow bunny rabbit, Merl the American red squirrel, and Gull the white seagull, live together in a stump in the middle of a park. The three animals deal with numerous adventures and dangers. Production The original idea for the series was conceived in 2010 and was centered more heavily around themes of environmentalism than the finished product.
