(Original description) The small, white, thin shell consists of 5 whorls, including the prominent conical protoconch of 2 convex elate whorls, with exserted apex. The whorls of the spire have a corded obtuse angulation, with a slope from the upper suture, somewhat constricted towards the lower. The body whorl shows a second angulation starting from the suture at the aperture. Below this the base is rapidly concavely contracted. The aperture is obliquely oval. The siphonal canal is short. The outer lip is thin, simple and biangulate. There is a deep, narrow sinus at the suture with parallel margins. The outer lip is in profile slightly convex to the front angulation, then concave to the edge of the siphonal canal. The columella is very long, nearly straight. When looked at from the apex the shell ...

Description The length of the shell attains 7 mm, its diameter 2.5 mm. This little, white, turreted shell bears rather a curious resemblance to the ''Daphnella (Teres)'' (synonym of ''Teretia teres'' (Reeve, 1844) ). The spire is elongate and very sharp. The shell contains 6 convex, rounded whorls. These are slightly concave at the top. The sculpture consists of conspicuous lirae, alternated with smaller lirae, sculptedc lengthwise by minute, oblique lamellae. The body whorl is rather short, contracted at the base and slightly rostrate. The columella is slightly twisted. The aperture is ovate. The outer lip is sharp and arcuate. The sinus is deep and not very wide. The author has only seen three specimens, the type here described being the largest. The two smaller ones are shorter in propor ...

Nepotilla Minuta
''Nepotilla minuta'', common name the minute turrid, is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Raphitomidae. ''Daphnella minuta'' Verco, 1909 is a synonym of ''Nepotilla mimica'' (Sowerby III, 1896), according to Hedley (1922). Description The length of the shell attains 6 mm. (Original description) The minute shell is fusiform, turreted, elongate and thin. It is saturated with a reddish chestnut. It contains 6 convex whorls, including the protoconch. They are spirally many keeled and between the keels thickly and slenderly longitudinally lirate. The protoconch consists of two subinflated whorls which are spirally and equally striate. The aperture is shorter than the spire, elongately ovate. The outer lip is thin and sinuous. The inner lip is inconspicuous.

(Original description) The very minute, yellowish shell contains 3½ whorls, including a 1½ whorled protoconch, which is large, rounded, and spirally lirate. The two adult whorls are strongly angled at the periphery, from whence to the suture they are flat or concave. The sculpture consists of sharp, narrow, axial ribs, about twelve on the body whorl, which extend from suture to suture, and pass into the aperture. They are widely separated, the interspaces being crossed by a few very faint spiral lirae. The aperture is rather expanded. The siphonal canal is very short. The columella is excavate. The outer lip is strongly varixed. The sinus at the suture is deep and open and bordered by a varix. Distribution This marine species is endemic to Australia and occurs off Tasmania ) , nick ...

Nepotilla Marmorata
''Nepotilla marmorata'' is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Raphitomidae. ''Daphnella marmorata'' (Verco, 1909) is a junior homonym of '' Daphnella marmorata'' Hinds, 1844 Description Joseph Verco (1909) and J.K. Tucker (2004) considered this species as a variety of ''Nepotilla minuta''. Verco described it as beautifully marbled with flames of white and deep blackish-brown. Charles Hedley (1922) considered it as a variety of ''Nepotilla mimica'' Hedley, C. 1922. A revision of the Australian Turridae. Records of the Australian Museum 13(6): 213-359, pls 42-56

Nepotilla Lamellosa
''Nepotilla lamellosa'' is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Raphitomidae. Description The length of the shell attains 4 mm, its diameter 2 mm. This is a very characteristic minute shell containing 5 whorls. The protoconch is smooth. The angular whorls of the spire form a tabulated spire. The spiral tricarinate keels, of which there are four on the body whorl, as well as the interstices, are crossed by fine close lamellae. The suture is minutely channeled. The base of the shell is contracted, lirate and slightly rostrate. The aperture is rather expanded. The outer lip is arcuate and strongly sinuated. The unique specimen is straw-coloured, with a single brown blotch in front. Sowerby III, G. B. (1896). ''List of the Pleurotomidae of South Australia, with descriptions of some new species.'' Nepotilla Fenestrata
''Nepotilla fenestrata'' is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Raphitomidae. Description The length of the shell attains 4 mm, its diameter 1.5 mm. (Original description) The delicate, white shell contains 5 whorls, including a rather blunt scarcely mamillate protoconch of 2 convex whorls, with 7 spiral lirae, ending abruptly at the first axial rib. The whorls of the spire are gradate, subconcavely sloping below the suture, with a sharp lira at the edge of the gradation. The whorls contract towards the lower suture. The body whorl is contracted at the base. The siphonal canal is very short. The aperture is oblong-oval. The outer lip is thin, with ten lirae outside, which with the lip in profile project as minute spurs. The sinus is well marked from the suture to the angle. The inner lip shows a narrow, opaque-white glaze. The columella is long, straightly convex. The sculpture consists of bold, five spirals in the first and second whorls, inc ...

Nepotilla Aculeata
''Nepotilla aculeata'' is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Raphitomidae. Description The length of the shell attains 3 mm, its diameter 1.8 mm (Original description) The small, yellowish brown shell is broadly fusiform, It contains five whorls, including a prominent two-whorled protoconch, which is finely spirally lirate. The adult whorls are strongly angled about the upper third by a prominent spiral keel, which bears at regular intervals well developed spinose nodules, about 10 on the body whorl. Above to the suture the whorl is concavely hollowed, with a finely nodulous keel. Below the carina are two prominent keels, bearing numerous sharp nodules, connected somewhat irregularly above and below, with axial riblets. On the base are about seven keels, the first two slightly nodose, the rest smooth. The three prominent keels give the whorls a square appearance. The aperture is rather expanded. The siphonal canal is short and open. The colume ...
