Nepolokivtsi Settlement Hromada
Nepolokivtsi ( uk, Неполоківці, ro, Nepolocăuți) is an urban-type settlement in Chernivtsi Raion, Chernivtsi Oblast, Chernivtsi Raion (raion, district) of Chernivtsi Oblast (oblast, province) in western Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Nepolokivtsi settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Current population: History An urban-type settlement since 1968. In 1969 the population was 2287 people. In January 1989 the population was 2764 people. In January 2013 the population was 2493 people. Until 18 July 2020, Nepolokivtsi belonged to Kitsman Raion. The raion was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Chernivtsi Oblast to three. The area of Kitsman Raion was split between Chernivtsi Raion and Vyzhnytsia Raion, with Nepolokivtsi being transferred to Chernivtsi Raion. Vyzhnytsia Raion ( uk, Вижницький район) is an administrative raion (district) in the southern part of Chernivtsi Oblast, located in the historical region of Bukovina, in western Ukraine, on the Romanian border. The region has an area of and centers on the city of Vyzhnytsia. Population: On 18 July 2020, as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, the number of raions of Chernivtsi Oblast was reduced to three, and the area of Vyzhnytsia Raion was significantly expanded. A hromada ( uk, територіальна громада, lit=territorial community, translit=terytorialna hromada) is a basic unit of administrative division in Ukraine, similar to a municipality. It was established by the Government of Ukraine on 12 June 2020. Similar terms exist in Poland (''gromada'') and in Belarus (''hramada''). Chernivtsi Oblast
Chernivtsi Oblast ( uk, Черніве́цька о́бласть, Chernivetska oblast), also referred to as Chernivechchyna ( uk, Чернівеччина) is an oblast (province) in Western Ukraine, consisting of the northern parts of the regions of Bukovina and Bessarabia. A raion (also spelt rayon) is a type of administrative unit of several post-Soviet states. The term is used for both a type of subnational entity and a division of a city. The word is from the French (meaning 'honeycomb, department'), and is commonly translated as "district" in English. A raion is a standardized administrative entity across most of the former Soviet Union and is usually a subdivision two steps below the national level, such as a subdivision of an oblast. However, in smaller USSR republics, it could be the primary level of administrative division.
