Nemona
Nemona, known in Japan as , is a character in the 2022 video games Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, ''Pokémon Scarlet'' and ''Violet''. She is both a rival to the protagonist and a Champion of the Paldean region. She is obsessed with battling and frequently engages in Pokémon battles with the protagonist. Concept and creation Developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo, the Pokémon, ''Pokémon'' franchise began in Japan in 1996 with the release of the video games Pokémon Red and Blue, ''Pokémon Red'' and ''Blue'' for the Game Boy. In these games, the player assumes the role of a Pokémon Trainer whose goal is to capture and train creatures called Pokémon. Players use the creatures' special abilities to combat other Pokémon, both in the wild as well as those used by other Trainers. and are 2022 role-playing video games developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for the Nintendo Switch. They are the first instalments in the ninth generation of the ''Pokémon'' video game series. First announced in February 2022, they were released on 18 November 2022. Unlike the previous instalments in the Pokémon franchise, ''Scarlet'' and ''Violet'' take place in an open world. The games take place in the Paldea region, based on the Iberian Peninsula. There are three separate stories the player can take. ''Scarlet'' and ''Violet'' introduce 103 new Pokémon, alongside 2 new regional forms, and the which allows a Pokémon to transform into its exclusive Tera Type.
