Nelson Eastern Suburbs Football Club is an association football club based in the suburb of Risdon Vale Risdon Vale, Tasmania in Hobart, Australia. The club currently participates in the Tasmanian Southern Championship 2, at present, the 4th highest level of football in Southern Tasmania. The club also has a women's team and an team in one junior division. Founded in 1977 the club spent much of its history playing in the highest level of Southern Tasmanian football. Recent history 2012 season In 2012, the Football Federation Australia rebranded and revitalised the state-based competitions incorporating them under the National Premier Leagues banner, starting in the 2013 season. Risdon Vale, Tasmania
Risdon Vale is an outer suburb of Hobart, capital of Tasmania, Australia on the eastern shore of the River Derwent, and adjacent to Risdon Cove, which was the site of the British colonisation of Van Diemen's Land. History Risdon Vale Post Office opened on 1 November 1960. Today It is the location of Tasmania's only maximum security prison, Risdon Prison and Risdon Women's Prison. Risdon Vale also is close to Risdon Brook Park and Dam which offers a pleasant walking track round the dam of 4 km, taking in views of Mount Wellington and its surrounds. Risdon Vale has a small population of around 3,000. Much of the area is surrounded by scrub and bush, which becomes particularly dry in the summer season and poses as a high fire risk. There has been a history of bushfires in the area. North Warrane Oval
Warrane is a suburb of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, within the City of Clarence local government area. It is approximately from Hobart's CBD. It is located between Rosny Park and Mornington and runs parallel to the Tasman Highway. Warrane is a primarily residential suburb, and is served by Rosny Park for commercial services. South Hobart Football Club is an Australian soccer club based in Hobart, Tasmania. Founded in 1910, the club currently competes in the NPL Tasmania. South Hobart plays home games at South Hobart Ground and also fields teams in all junior divisions, as well as women's teams.
