Nelson Barbudo
Nelson Ned Previdente (14 February 1960), better known as Nelson Barbudo is a Brazilian politician and rural producer, affiliated to the Liberal Party (Brazil, 2006), Liberal Party (PL). Biography Born in Monte Aprazível, in the interior of the state of São Paulo, Barbudo began his political career in the city of Alto Taquari, a city located in the state of Mato Grosso. He first ran for councillor of Alto Taquari in 2004 and succeeded, being elected with around 281 votes. He tried to run for re-election as a councillor in the 2008 Brazilian municipal elections, 2008 Alto Taquari elections, but his candidacy was rejected by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE). After these two electoral disputes and a long period without running for any other elected office, Barbudo once again gained notoriety through content disseminated via social networks defending the positions of the then federal deputy Jair Bolsonaro. Chamber Of Deputies (Brazil)
The Chamber of Deputies ( pt, Câmara dos Deputados) is a federal legislative body and the lower house of the National Congress of Brazil. The chamber comprises 513 deputies, who are elected by proportional representation to serve four-year terms. The current President of the Chamber is the Deputy Arthur Lira ( PP- AL), who was elected on 1 February 2021. Structure The number of deputies elected is proportional to the size of the population of the respective state (or of the Federal District) as of 1994. However, no delegation can be made up of less than eight or more than seventy seats. Thus the least populous state elects eight federal deputies and the most populous elects seventy. These restrictions favour the smaller states at the expense of the more populous states and so the size of the delegations is not exactly proportional to population.
