Nelly Makdessy
Nelly Makdessy ( ar, نيللي مقدسي ; born October 10, 1979) is a Lebanese singer, songwriter, record producer, instrumentalist and model. Nelly started her career in the amateurs TV program "Kaass El Noujoum" which was broadcast on the Lebanese channel LBC in early 1990s, she sang in the category of Folklore Music. Makdessy released four albums in her career and eleven singles. her first album ' produced two hit singles including "Shouf El Ein" and "Machie Al Maghror". It was her most successful album until the 2005 album ''Oof Oof''. In 2008, Makdessy released two hit singles, "Ya'esh El Hob" and "Ya Nar Nari". Khaliji (music)
Khaliji music (also spelled Khaleeji; ar, الموسيقى الخليجية meaning Gulf music) is the music of Eastern Arabia, the Gulf Arabian states and it is popular across the Arab world. It is traditionally characterized by heavy use of the rebab, oud and other string instruments such as the violin, the occasional use of habbān, and the inclusion of percussion instruments such as the mirwas, tabl, and duff drums. Arabic pop music or Arab pop music is a subgenre of pop music and Arabic music. Arabic pop is mainly produced and originated in Cairo, Egypt; as Egyptian music genre is by far the most widespread within the region. Also Beirut, Lebanon, and Gulf states come as secondary centers.
