Nellie Longsworth
Nellie Leber Longsworth is an American historian and advocate of historic preservation. She was a founder and president of the nonprofit Preservation Action for twenty-two years. She worked to preserve historic structures by working and lobbying to pass legislation in United States Congress. Education Longsworth attended Smith College interested in American history, architecture, and culture. She graduated in 1955 with a Bachelor's of Arts in American studies. She also attended the Harvard Graduate School of Design as a Loeb Fellow in 1987. Career Longsworth worked in different areas of politics and professions. In 1966, she headed the campaign office for Robert Griffin's Senate race in Michigan. She then was the development director of the Washington D.C. Planned Parenthood. Historic preservation (US), built heritage preservation or built heritage conservation (UK), is an endeavor that seeks to preserve, conserve and protect buildings, objects, landscapes or other artifacts of historical significance. Constance Morella (; née Albanese; born February 12, 1931) is an American politician and diplomat. She represented in the United States House of Representatives from 1987 to 2003.
